Corvettes For Sale: It Was an Exceptional Weekend for C6 Corvette Listings

While everyone was watching the Rolex 24 at Daytona and NFL Conference Championships over the weekend, the nation’s car dealers were busy amassing and posting the best coast-to-coast inventory of C6 Corvettes that we’ve seen for sale at the same time since 2014, at least. If you’ve been searching for a hard-to-find version of what many consider to be the best generation of America’s Favorite Sports Car, get your bank on the phone because they’re all up for grabs right now!

There are two Corvettes that your author is always on the lookout for: The 2011-13 Z06 Z07 with a particular emphasis on Inferno Orange ’11 Carbon Special Editions and the 2012-13 ZR1 with the PDE “High Performance Package.” As members of limited runs of 740 and 375, respectively, neither one hits the market very often, but every once in a blue moon, a lucky owner loses their mind and decides to part ways with one of these Holy Grails. Since it would be incredibly imprudent of me to pull the trigger on either right now, I feel compelled to do the next best thing and share my rare find with those who are (almost) as passionate about these cars as I am!

2012 Corvette ZR1 PDE with just 2,566 miles

2012 Corvette ZR1 PDE with just 2,566 miles

This past weekend, lightning struck twice; a Carbon and a PDE were listed for sale within hours of each other. The latter is up for grabs out of Orange County, California, and, with just 2,566 miles on the clock, it’s the finest specimen we’ve seen since 2021. Other than the PDE headliner, the – preserved and provided – window sticker reads as follows: 3ZR equipment group featuring red-stitched ebony upholstery and matching red brake calipers, and black headlight surrounds, adding up to an absolute vision with the Arctic White exterior. It is one of just 43 white ZR1s ordered in ’12, and while Chevrolet never shared a specific breakdown of the option combinations, bet on this car having single-digit twins out there; it’s entirely possible that it’s a one-of-one! Unfortunately, this museum piece is priced accordingly at $129,888. While a touch more than $4,000 over its original MSRP is a lot of money, in the context of a market where new automatic-only Z06s START at $112 g’s and quickly approach the $200k mark when you check must-have option boxes, this pale Blue Devil looks like the deal of the century.

2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon #118

2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon #118

eBay Motors is where you can find our second listing, the 118th of 252 2011 Carbon Edition Z06s that made all of the best ZR1 kit available to the 7.0L monster for the first time! It is one of the 85 painted IOM, and unlike the Supercharged beauty above, this one has been driven semi-regularly, removing any guilt from the plate of its next owner. With 21,603 listed miles, it has only averaged around 1,600 miles per year since rumbling off of the assembly line in Kentucky. Other than that, it’s mostly traditional Carbon fare: black 20-spoke wheels, “11” side stickers, silver calipers, carbon fiber roof and hood, orange stitching, and black mirrors. Light modifications include a mild tune to a reported 484 wheel-horsepower, Mag Ride updated by Jim Mero himself, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel that allowed the seller to preserve the Alcantara on the original unit. The bid starts at $75,000, and you can Buy it Now for $85,000; if I could, I’d do it today!

Even though the first pair of C6 Corvettes is more than worthy of their own posts, we’re all about variety and going above and beyond for our readership, so how about a few more tantalizing options for fellow window shoppers and for those of you in the market.

Grand Sport x2

#19 of #25 2012 Anniversary Callaway Corvettes

Let’s kick off the bonus section with the Goldilocks best-seller of the 2010-13 years. Our first Grand Sport is so rare that a lot of ‘Vette enthusiasts forget that it existed at all. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the famous factory B2K RPO code that added twin-turbos to C4s, Chevrolet partnered with Callaway Cars for a revival in 2012 that was limited to just 25 units. Like its namesake, the modern B2K took the LS3-powered GS to the next level with forced induction. This time around, Callaway ditched the laggy turbos for a supercharger that bumped power to 620 ponies. Also, along for the ride are a set of still great-looking black chrome wheels, numbered plaques (our subject car is #19), a carbon fiber banana hammock on the hood, the exhaust with the best name in the business, and many more worthwhile touches, highlighted by the carbon engine cover signed by the late, great Reeves Callaway, himself. Originally, the B2K package added $53,470 to the $64,360 bottom line of 25 fortunate 3LT Grand Sports. “Nineteen” has only accumulated 2,000 miles in its twelve years of existence and can be yours for $72,995 today.

2012 Purifoy SEMA Build Edelbrock Supercharged Corvette Grand Sport

When I worked as a “Corvette Specialist” at Purifoy Chevrolet towards the end of the C6’s nine-year run after I finished college, we received three B2K allocations, if I remember correctly, but we traded in more than just factory supercharged ‘Vettes. Second-generation dealership owner Rollie Purifoy transformed his father’s small-town store into a juggernaut in the Corvette space. He pulled this off by making Purifoy a destination for Crossed Flags faithful. Along with stock that was unrivaled for 20+ years in the Mountain Time Zone, he leveraged his talented body shop to create a slew of one-off Corvettes. During C6 times, the most famous of these was probably the Synergy Green GS of 2010, but another of Purifoy’s one-of-ones is back in the marketplace as we speak. If you were at SEMA in 2012, you probably laid eyes on this Edelbrock supercharged split-window Silver/Red Grand Sport coupe. The motif might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s only put on 12,080 miles since it’s day in the Las Vegas sun. Now, it can be yours for a quite reasonable $49,900; that’s a lot of performance per dollar, right there!

2013 Corvette 427 Convertible Edition

Night Race Blue 427 Convertible

Our recent poll (where dark blue completely slaughtered the competition) got us in the mood for some Night Race Blue. The one-year shade looked outstanding on the one-year swansong 427 Convertible model. Out of a grand total of 1,446 Corvettes sprayed in the deep metallic blue for 2013, just 208 were 427 convertibles. We’ll close today with one of those beauties that adds to its charm with a Cashmere interior, blue top, and chrome ZR1-style wheels. This piece of ‘Vette history has under 13,000 miles, and you can take delivery for $62,900, or 1.44 Bitcoin – which is proudly accepted at its current home dealership!

Now, get out there and make us proud with those off-season car purchases! Happy hunting, Corvette Nation!
