As January comes to an end, we have another pricing report of C8 Corvette Z06 sales from Barrett-Jackson’s 2024 Scottsdale auction. A total of seven Corvette Z06s were offered during the sale and all were sold at No Reserve. One of the cars featured was a charity sale for the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation while the other six were sold by their owners and subject to Barrett-Jackson’s buyer/seller commissions.
Altogether, the combined sales of the seven Corvette Z06s (all were 2023s) totaled $1,393,100. The top selling Z06 was the Chip Miller Z06 which hammered for $220,000 but received additional donations following the sale for a total of $270,000 raised for charity. The “cheapest” Z06 to sell in this group was a 2023 Corvette Z06 2LZ Coupe which fetched $154,000.
As Barrett-Jackson provides the VIN to each of the cars, we were able to look up the original MSRP and we share that figure for each of the cars as well. While we don’t know if the buyers paid any additional dealer markups (ADM), we calculated the average margin for the six Z06s sold (minus the charity Z06) was $52,597. The smallest margin was $32,620 while the largest was $111,070.
The “head scratcher” (or face palm) of this batch goes to Lot #1098.1 which is a 2023 Corvette Z06 Coupe 1LZ. This Corvette has just a few customization options including Competition Sport Seats and it sold for a whopping $225,500 with commission. The margin of the sale versus its original MSRP of $114,430 was $111,070. While there is no doubt that it’s a good-looking car, the astronomical price shows that people are still willing to pay stupid amounts of money to own a Z06.

This sounds like a license to print money…
Even the re-seller has expenses…..so this selling price, and the difference between sticker is not net profit for re=seller. The Gov ,by taxing the car, make as much or more than the re=seller……
I’m satisfied I turned down a 2023 ZO6 for $75,000 over window. Love my 70th HTC Z51 I bought at window.
“willing to pay stupid amounts of money to own a Z06.” No, stupid people are willing to pay that amount of currency.
