We saw the Coolest ZR1 Ever at Carlisle…And You Can Win It With a $25 Donation!

Sure, all Corvette ZR1s are cool. With 1,064-hp and a 233 MPH top speed, there’s not many vehicles that can hang with it. But why is this the “coolest ZR1 ever?” It’s because anyone can enter to win it by simply making a $25 or more donation to the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation.

We finally had the opportunity to see this supercar in the flesh at Corvettes at Carlisle where it was on display at the world’s largest Corvette show. It was ordered in beautiful Competition Yellow with the ZTK package that includes the Visible Carbon Fiber High Wing. And because it’s the Coupe, it has a visible carbon fiber split rear window and additional cooling ducts not available on the Convertible model.

As I was admiring this technological marvel, I happen to see Lance Miller who is the President of the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation, and I asked to get a couple of photos of him with the car. Last year, Lance and the CMAF had given away a Sebring Orange ZR1 which was won by Jim Stevenson of Ohio, and this ZR1 was ordered to be Lance’s personal car. But because last year’s ZR1 giveaway was so well received with over $1 million raised for the non-profit organization, Lance said, “Let’s do a ZR1 all over again!” and offered up his allocation from Ciocca Corvette of Atlantic City which became this 2026 Corvette ZR1 with ZTK as the Grand Prize for 2026.

The ZR1’s 5.5L LT7 twin-turbocharged DOHC V8 engine starts with the same architecture as Z06’s LT6, the most powerful naturally aspirated production V8 engine ever and takes it to the next level with twin turbochargers — the first time ever for a factory Corvette.

With 1,064 horsepower and over 800 lb-ft of torque, this Corvette can really move! The new King of the Hill has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, it has a top speed of 233 MPH, and it can cover a quarter mile in a scant 9.6 seconds making it one of the fastest production sports cars available.

The Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation’s mission is to empower people with the knowledge and understanding of Amyloidosis for earlier detection, ensuring a better quality of life for those afflicted with the disease and to help science find the cures. Sadly, we lost Chip Miller – one of the cofounders of Corvettes at Carlisle – to this little-known disease back in March 2004. Each year 3,000 cases of Amyloidosis are diagnosed in the United States, and it’s treatable with early detection. Had Chip and his doctors been aware of the symptoms of the disease when they first presented, this Corvette legend might still be with us today.
