With yesterday’s release of the pricing for the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport, Chevrolet has also published the pricing for all its C8 models as well as pricing for the optional equipment.
We took the day to digest this info but some of these price increases are stunning. Buyers are going to be shelling out a lot more for their Corvettes in 2027 versus previous model years. My inner voice says, “Someone has to pay for the LS6 development.” Yep, and anyone considering a purchase of a new 2027 model will be helping in that department!
Below are the base starting MSRP for all models and trim groups without the mandatory $2,495 DFC charge. Based on the current 2026 MSRP pricing, we are seeing Stingrays increase by $1,000, the Z06 gets a $1,200 increase, while the ZR1 goes up $12,700 and the ZR1X is up $17,800:

While those MSRP price were increased overall, it’s the options price increases that really made us gasp. The C8 era has been great for allowing buyers to customize their rides with many appearance and mechanical upgrades. We’ve previously joked that Chevrolet is following the Porsche pricing model but now we have Porsche prices to go along with it. Below are some of those most popular options that have seen an increase in pricing from the 2026 model year:
• BV4 Personalized Plaque and VIN – $395
• D30 Color Combination Override – $1,495
• E60 Front Axle Lift – $2,995
• R8C Corvette Museum Delivery – $1,695
• TVS Low Profile Spoiler and Splitter – $995
• Painted Brake Calipers – $795
• 5JR Outside Mirrors in Visible Carbon Fiber – $1,395
• B6P Engine Appearance Package – $1,895
• CFV Visible Carbon Fiber Ground Effects – $4,495
• CFZ Carbon Flash Ground Effects – $3,495
• 5ZV Three Stanchion High Wing – $2,075
• 5ZZ High Wing Spoiler Carbon Flash – $1,550
• SBT Dual Roof Package – $2,525
• FA5 Level 1 Carbon Fiber Interior – $1,795
• FA6 Level 2 Carbon Fiber Interior – $5,295
• BAZ Stealth Interior Package – $695
• SU1 10-Spoke Visible Carbon Fiber Wheels (ZR1/ZR1X) – $15,995
From the list above we are seeing price increases from $100 on the low end which includes the interior plaque, Stealth Interior Package, and brake caliper colors. The interior carbon fiber packages are up $200 each. The Z06 ground effects pricing increased by $500 as did the Stingray’s Low Profile spoiler and front splitter. We were also shocked to see the D30 Custom Color Override jump from $695 to $1,495 which allows customers to do non-recommended color combinations.
Perhaps most disappointing is yet another increase in the R8C Museum delivery fee which went up another $200 to $1,695. When combined with the mandatory Delivery Freight Charge (DFC) of $2,495, it will now cost $4,190 total and that still doesn’t include the buyer’s travel costs to the NCM. That’s a lot of money going towards an “event” as opposed to equipment and our fear is that Chevy is pricing themselves away from what is a memorable experience
We also feel for those ZR1 owners who waited most of the 2026 model year for the ZTK Performance Package, only for it not to be available. Now they are facing a huge price increase if they want to roll over their orders to 2027. We also note that the visible carbon fiber wheels for the ZR1/ZR1X jumped an additional $2,000 to $15,995.
With the large increases applied to the ZR1 and ZR1X MSRPs, we can’t help but to cynically wonder if Chevy factors in their customer’s willingness to pay a hefty ADMs (additional dealer markups) when calculating these new starting prices. All those Bring a Trailer auctions seem to serve as test cases for what buyers are willing to pay, which we have to think GM is paying attention to them.
With the 2027 pricing and order guides now out, the final element we are waiting for is the 2027 Corvette Build and Buy Configurator. We have yet to hear any dates for when it will drop, but we imagine it will be coming soon.
