More Allocations Sent Out Today for 2024 Corvettes

Another round of allocations for the 2024 Corvette were sent out to select dealers today. We contacted a handful of dealers both large and small, and it was a mixed bag with half replying they received nothing and others saying they got both Z06 and Stingrays. And while we never share specific allocation numbers, one dealer we heard from got “estimated shipments” on all three models including the E-Ray.

However, it’s too early to be thinking that the E-Ray’s slow and deliberate ramp up has suddenly seen the spicket turned full blast. I think we are still a couple of months from that happening. There were zero E-Rays produced on Tuesday, but the plant came back and assembled 11 on Wednesday. But it’s nice to know that additional allocations have been made for the performance hybrid sports car and next week we’ll see if there are any constraints on it as well.

Ordering for these allocations will happen next Thursday and that’s when the next round of constraints will also be known. I always feel like this process is backwards as constraints should come before allocations so that dealers have time to work their customers, but hey, this is Chevrolet we’re talking about!

After next week’s order bank opens, we’ll be halfway through May and it appears there may be another order cycle that can start on May 23rd and orders being accepted on May 30th. If we don’t get any word by then about when the 2024 model year is expected to end, I think it’s safe to say that the model year changeover will happen later in the summer instead of around July as we were expecting.
