Jay Leno is putting one of his favorite cars on the line—and one Wheel of Fortune contestant is about to benefit in a big way.

During the May 11 episode, Leno appeared alongside Vanna White to announce that he’s donating a 2026 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to the show, a roughly $70,000 slice of American performance that will go to one lucky player during the May 15 episode. Five winners from this week’s shows will square off for the keys.

Leno joked that producers know exactly how to get his attention.

“They know I’m a car enthusiast,” he told Vanna, adding that he wanted to give away a “cool car.”

For the 76 year old comedian, Corvettes are a passion. He’s praised the car for years, famously telling Fox News in 2019 that the Corvette delivers “Lamborghini performance at Chevrolet prices.” He even quipped that because it’s a Chevy, “you can fix it with a hammer and boom.”

This isn’t the first time Leno has handed over a Corvette, either. In March, he partnered with Yaamava’ Resort and Casino to give away a 2026 Corvette ZR1, calling it “the big dog” and a car that makes you “giggle like a kid” when you hit the throttle.

His affection for cars has also come with risk. In 2022, Leno suffered serious burns in a gasoline fire while working on a 1907 White Steam Car in his garage. He later joked on The Kelly Clarkson Show that he was sporting a “brand new face” after surgery.

Fortunately, the Wheel of Fortune prize is far less temperamental than a century old steam car. And for one contestant, Leno’s generosity means the show’s iconic wheel won’t be the only thing spinning—soon, it’ll be the rear tires of a brand new Corvette.

  1. The guy that won it was pretty young. He was completely blown away. Yes, it’s a basic 1LT coupe model, but perhaps Jay autographed it here and there which would add something to the car’s unique story and value. Let’s face it, if Jay Leno gave me just a wrench on national television, I’d be thrilled. Lol. The standard Stingray is still a very good performer even without any extra options. The new owner will surely be impressed. This was good PR for the Corvette.
