[PICS] Corvette Stingray Owner Shows Off His ‘1 of 1’ Build Featuring a Z06 Sill Plate

Is your Corvette a 1 of 1?

This Arctic White C8 Corvette Stingray is almost certainly unique and not because of the options that were picked out by the original owner. No, it earned its status as a coveted ‘1 of 1 Corvette’ because it was shipped from the factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky with a set of mis-matched door sill plates.

IceBoxPete recently shared the discovery on the Corvette reddit stating that his C8 Corvette has a “Z06 door plate.” Sure enough, the two photos he shared clearly shows the Z06 sill plate even though it’s obvious that the car is the Stingray.

The discovery of his Corvette uniqueness wasn’t something he caught right away. “I got it new, I didn’t notice until like a year later,” says IceBoxPete in a follow up comment. “I literally never open the passenger [door]. Nobody has ever sat in that seat,” he added.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen one of these errors come out the Corvette assembly plant. Rick Conti had a 2024 Corvette delivered to his dealership back in 2024 with two completely different seats. Our favorite mix-up though is still the 2020 that arrived with a Two-Tone Boomerang.

Because there are two sill plates for each Corvette, does that mean a Z06 owner got one that reads Stingray? While researching this subject in our extensive archives, we came across this story about a 2024 Corvette Z06 that was shipped with a Stingray sill plate on the passenger door. Perhaps these two cars were together on the assembly line on that fateful day?

I guess the world will never know…unless of course it gets posted on internet.
