Chevy Keeps Making the Z06 Dream Happen as the Unofficial Production Tracker Shows 99 Built on Wednesday

While many E-Ray fans have been lamenting the slow ramp up of production for the new 2024 Corvette, production of the Z06 keeps moving right along!

We don’t know if there was something happening in Bowling Green other than some recent bad weather which I am still being notified about on my Weather Channel app after being in Bowling Green for the Bash. Roger Kiel’s unofficial production tracker on Facebook is showing that assembly plant workers built a whopping 268 Corvettes on Wednesday with 99 of those being the new Z06! The numbers on Roger’s sheet shows that the total included 158 Stingray, 99 Z06s and 11 E-Rays that completed production on May 8th.

Reading through the comments, we do see that Roger does weigh in suggesting that some of these units were not reported to him yesterday for Tuesday’s count and we see that production on Tuesday was just 120 for the day including 114 Stingrays and 6 Z06s, and then the Z06 count was changed to 20 on Wednesday. So most likely some of these “record” units were completed on Tuesday and only reported as completed on Wednesday’s unofficial tracker. Even though that may be the case, that is still 119 Z06s built in two days, which again is a great number for all those waiting on one.

That’s why it’s called the “Unofficial” tracker!

As for the VIN counts, the Z06 is showing 6,274 units for the model year, along with 21,868 Stingrays and 326 E-Rays for a total of 28,468 units for 2024.

Chevrolet built 6,413 Z06s during its record-setting production in the 2023 model year and the 2024 Z06s will probably surpass that number next week. Adding the two model year production totals together, we get 12,687 Corvette Z06s produced. That’s quite a few for those who have one, and not enough for those still waiting.
