Corvettes for Sale: 98K-Mile 3LT 2020 Corvette Stingray Offered for $53,500

So far in the four-year history of the eighth-generation Corvette, we’ve grown accustomed to “98k” referring to the price of the car.

Now we just spotted an ad where 98k actually refers to the MILEAGE on the odometer of a 2020 Corvette. Yes, folks, those new C8s don’t suddenly disintegrate when the mileage goes past 10,000, the way someone has driven this Arctic White Stingray coupe a whopping 98,252 miles and is now offering it up for sale.

For some reason, the car is being offered on Copart, which usually deals with wrecked and salvaged vehicles, but this one appears to be in good undamaged condition.

In fact, photos with the listing show the digital instrument panels working normally, and there doesn’t appear to be any visible damage to the body or interior. In the listing, the car is also said to “Run & Drive” meaning the vehicle: 1) Started under its own power or with the use of external jump box, 2) Was put into gear, and 3) Moved forward.”

We first saw this car on the Facebook group C8 Corvette Owners (And Friends), where a photo was posted showing the bid had climbed to $51,500, with a “Buy It Now” price of $53,000. We did some searching on the internet and couldn’t verify that photo. Indeed, we did finally locate the car on Copart, where the auction in the North Boston, Massachusetts area appears to have been scheduled to end at 10 a.m. today, but the latest update shows the high bid to be only $14,100 so we’re not sure what’s going to happen.

Personally, we think this would be a great car for a YouTuber to buy so he could make all kinds of posts about being the first owner to climb past the 100,000-mile mark.

Not many details are offered about this Corvette, other than it has the top-of-the-line 3LT trim, a clean title, normal wear damage, and keys available. It doesn’t appear to be a Z51 but does have the optional black wheels and high wing spoiler. The photos aren’t very high quality, especially of the interior, but the passenger seat looks like it has held up very well for nearly 100,000 miles.

Would you be afraid of this high-mileage ‘Vette – or willing to head into the stratosphere and aim for 200k miles?

  1. I wouldn’t mind up to 50K miles, but that’s a little steep for me. There are many low mile C8s out there. I have a 2019 Z06 with almost 120K miles on it and don’t expect to get much for it when I trade it, or sell it.

  2. I was in slow moving traffic today behind a C8 for about 10 minutes…the more I looked at the back of the car, the more I grew to dislike, which I really didn’t think was possible. The C8, has to be the ugliest Corvette ever made. I think the C9 is going to kill C8 values as it will show just how ugly the C8 is.

  3. If I did buy that car. The first thing I would do is paint it. I hate white cars. Looks like a rental. The worst color ever and whomever buys white cars are lame AF.
