[VIDEO] Jeff Hayes Corvette Restomod Sells for $236,500 at Mecum Kissimmee

As the 2024 Mecum Kissimmee auction rolls on, we’re beginning to see how the Corvette market could shape up this year. This high end 1966 convertible restomod is one of the top Corvette sellers so far this week in Florida.

The silver gray over red leather C2 Corvette was built in 2019 by noted customizer Jeff Hayes at American Speed Shop in Bloomington, Indiana. It rides on a Coffman chassis featuring Z06 suspension and brakes. Outboard of the suspension, you’ll find C6 Z06 wheels wrapped in Toyo redline tires.

A power operated 1967 hood covers up the 540hp LS3 engine mated to a 4L70E automatic transmission. The exterior wears Silver Gray Metallic paint that’s bathed in 5 coats of clear. The custom black Haartz cloth convertible top and factory style side pipes complete the handsome look of this Sting Ray.

Inside you’ll notice vintage air, an Ididit steering column, and a Billet Specialties steering wheel. A stylish Lokar polished shifter selects the gear of your choice. We especially like the custom door panels and the handsome stainless steel gauges. The listing indicates that this C2 has traveled just 734 miles since the stunning build was completed.

We’ve covered many of Jeff Hayes’ high end customs here and they always draw big bucks on the auction block. This one is no different. Once the bidding opens, it quickly climbs to $100,000. Soon after, eager bidders push the price up over $200k before settling at $215,000 when the hammer drops. With fees, that’s a total sale price of $236,500.
