Corvettes for Sale: No Reserve LS5-Powered 1971 Corvette Convertible on eBay

When it comes to classy sports cars, there’s arguably nothing better than a green over tan color combo.

This 1971 Corvette – boasting Brands Hatch Green paint and a Saddle leather interior – isn’t all about Grey Poupon, though, as its massive matching-numbers 454/365 horsepower V8 engine hooked to a four-speed manual transmission can provide plenty of go-power on the open road.

This chrome-bumper C3 convertible will be finding a new home Wednesday night as it’s being offered at no reserve on eBay out of the Miami, Florida area. So far, the high bid is $17,300, but we’d expect that number to rise a good bit in the coming days.

After all, it appears the new owner should be able to start enjoying their new ride without having to do very much to the car.

Indeed, the current owner says this vintage Stingray “runs and drives fine” and has had a laundry list of new parts added, including a white convertible soft top (a matching green hardtop is also included with the deal), blackwall tires, brake calipers, rebuilt carburetor, radiator, valve cover gaskets, master cylinder, exhaust, and more.

He describes the drivetrain as “strong” with a “good” clutch and adds that the car sits atop a “solid” frame.

The interior isn’t perfect, but it’s still nice enough visually that it shouldn’t need much attention. Most of the gauges and the power windows are said to function, and the radio works at low volume (listening to that 454 engine should be music enough for many drivers). The headlights work manually, but the wipers need some attention.

Overall, like any 53-year-old car, this one isn’t perfect and can still use some TLC, the owner admits, but it definitely should provide plenty of thrills for the next person to climb behind the wheel, just as it sits.
