Mecum’s monster Kissimmee auction rolls on through the end of this week. With well over 4,000 cars on deck, there’s something for everyone down in central Florida. We’ve already taken a look at several of the 465+ Corvettes on the docket including the Red/Red 1967 L88 coupe and the first and last L88’s offered as a single lot.

While many of the Kissimmee Corvettes are offered as standalone lots, many others are offered from the nearly 50 collections consigned to the sale. Leading the Corvette collection charge is the 1963 Split Window Colorama Collection featuring one car from each of the seven available colors that year. Additionally, Dr. Mark Davis is selling his three “Ultimately Preserved” C1, C2, and C3 Corvettes in Florida as well. We spoke with Dr. Mark on the Corvette Today Podcast back in November.

Diving deeper into the Kissimmee collections, we see that over half of them feature Corvettes. As we’ve come to expect, the Corvette offerings are as diverse as you can get. You’ll find unrestored originals like a 24-mile 1982 Collector Edition in the Freddie Mack Collection. If you’re looking for a hot restomod, check out the Jim Walker Collection which contains several modded Corvettes. If a late-model is more your style, check out the C7’s in the Michael Fux Collection comprised of a 183-mile 2015 Z06 coupe, a 202-mile 2015 Z06 convertible, a 718-mile 2019 ZR1 convertible and a Sebring Orange 2019 ZR1 coupe.

Maybe you’ve been holding out for a C8? If so, then check out the Mark Welborn Collection and its four 8th generation Corvettes consisting of a 2021 Stingray, a gray 2022 C8.R, a yellow 2022 C8.R, and a 2023 Z06 in the wrapper with 9 miles on the clock.

There’s a stunning silver/red 1970 LT1 coupe swimming in the sea of Mopars in the Deering Muscle Car collection and you’ll find a pair of nice 1972 LT1’s in the Michael Jaye Collection. Sign us up for that Elkhart Green coupe.

We also see several Corvettes “hidden” within collections of other makes and models. The 26-car Apex Collection houses four Corvettes in its group of supercars, European exotics, customs, and 4×4’s. The Frank Berris Collection offers five Corvettes along with six “best of the best” motorcycles. You’ll see a lone 4k-mile 1974 Corvette coupe in the diverse 24-car Tom Martin Collection while a 17-mile 2023 Z06 convertible lurks among 12 pickup trucks in the Tagalong Low Mileage Collection. Finally, there’s another lone 2023 Z06 residing with two Porsche’s, a Lamborghini Diablo, and a BMW Z8 in the Asi and Lisa Sheikh Collection.

On the flipside, we also see several Corvette heavy collections as well. Sir Richard’s Corvettes and Classics features nine Corvettes as does the Earl Cordell Collection. Rick Treworgy’s Muscle Car City Collection brings us 30 Corvettes, a Prevost motorhome, a transporter, and even 4 C4 ZR1 LT5 engines. Interestingly, 22 of the 30 Corvettes are from the 1967 model year. This collection also includes the first and last L88 collection.

And finally, we’ll mention these three outstanding Corvettes that aren’t currently being offered as part of a featured collection at Mecum Kissimmee, but they would be the centerpiece of just about any Corvette collection assembled. First up is a 1963 Corvette Z06 with the ultra-rare N03 36.5-gallon fuel tank. There were just 199 Z06s produced and this one is also number 51 of only 63 produced with N03. Offered on Friday are two special Styling cars made for GM brass. Lot F158.1 is a 1963 Corvette Coupe styling car that was gifted to legendary Styling Department Chief Harley J. Earl as a retirement present. That is followed by Lot F159 which is the 1964 Corvette Coupe built for Harley Earl’s successor, Bill Mitchell.

While we’d love to talk about all of the unique collections available in Kissimmee, we just don’t have the bandwidth to do so. As you can see from the collections we’ve highlighted above, there’s no shortage of rare and high-quality Corvettes to go around this week in Florida.

For more information on these and any other Kissimmee lots, head on over to Mecum.com.

  1. Nice to see old farts selling their toys so some of us younger enthusiasts can enjoy a collectable Corvette.
