Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for May 2nd

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

Mike opens this week’s delivery dispatch with some recently found pics from Malcolm Konner Chevrolet featuring Zora Arkus-Duntov, and there’s also a throwback photo signed by Gary Konner who is helping Mike celebrate his upcoming 5000th delivery. ~There is a saying that states if you’re thinking about a question, you’re not the only one. I receive approx 200+ emails and 60 phone calls per day, every day, 7 days per week. In today’s world these inquiries come through various ways of technology; PM’s, emails,texts etc and the list goes on and on not to mention what form of technology device they are received. Most of the time I am dealing with rumors of future product which leads me to this quote… "Rumors sell magazines, not cars"*I spent every Summer with Zora Duntov from 1978-1990 and this was his favorite remark to me when I brought up future product. I am a Corvette enthusiast as I have owned 22 Corvettes since I started selling Corvettes but I always remember and say often that you can’t believe everything you read, especially on the internet. Listen I get it, everyone wants their ordered vehicle now and patience is one of the hardest virtues to master. This is the first time anyone in our lifetime has lived through a world pandemic and the auto industry is a whole different playing field these days.

~Art and Marcy F. of Lewes, Delaware took delivery of their 9th Corvette this past week at Criswell. They like to have fun so of course Art had to kick the tires while Marcy took care of the electronics. They ordered a Shadow Gray 2021 Corvette Convertible with Adrenaline Red interior. They had our Criswell service add the high wing spoiler after it was painted body color. The Sterling silver racing stripes and edge red hash marks add pop to an incredible build. Equipment: 2LT pkg, bright red calipers, composite rockers and splash guards. Quick 135 mile trip home to Lewes, DE. Two super nice Corvette enthusiasts! Words from Art…

“Thank so much for the video and all the pictures. Mostly, we very much appreciated the way we were treated by you throughout the purchasing process. Marcy and I felt comfortable, at home and at ease. We are extremely happy with our new Corvette, it will bring many miles of fun and joy for us to remember. By the way, I took your advice, I just drove, Marcy spent 2 hours pushing ever button and switch in the car, decided we really need to read the manual and then fell asleep. That’s when the ride got quiet!!! ;o)”

~Shawn T. of Killeen, Texas placed his factory order for a Elkhart Lake Blue 2021 Corvette coupe to come to Criswell so our service department could do the prep work before Plycar trucking takes it enclosed trailer 1,500 miles to his Texas home. Equipment list: 2LT pkg, GT2 buckets, magnetic ride, edge red calipers, cf painted mirrors/spoiler, engine appearance pkg and Z51 pkg. all the paperwork was completed via Fed Ex and Plycar trucking is headed to Texas and should arrive any day now.

~Greg and Cindy M. of Beaumont, California factory ordered their Silver Flare 2021 Corvette Z51 coupe and chose to take delivery at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. This week they had the red carpet rolled out for them as they drove away back to their California home 2,000 miles in total. Equipment list: 2LT pkg, GT2 buckets, sterling silver dual stripes, body color accents, chrome badges, front lift, cf instrument trim, magnetic ride, edge red calipers, 2 tone Adrenaline Red/black interior, engine appearance pkg and Z51 pkg. Cool color combo for sure.

I even came in on my day off Friday and delivered a new 2021 Chevrolet Trax to my neighbors for their daughters to share.
