Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for April 25th

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

Mike was in Bowling Green for a few days last week for the National Corvette Museum’s Bash Event and we think this trip will be on his personal highlight reel after receiving some great recognition from BGAP Plant Director Kai Spande, as well as getting in a round of golf with Corvette Exterior Design Manager Kirk Bennion and Corvette Racing’s Doug Fehan! Mike has some great photos from the event and make sure you check out the video below. There were also some new Corvettes delivered and you get a great roundup of vintage and throwback photos as expected. Mike reads the comments so leave us a message on which photo is your favorite!

~It takes a lot to surprise me but Kai Spande, the Corvette Plant Mgr did just that Thursday afternoon. I asked him last week if he had time for lunch when I visited for the Corvette Bash and he said his schedule is tight this week. He asked if I will be at his Thursday afternoon presentation and I answered Yes. He said good because I have a picture he wanted to give me…not knowing he was going to ask me up on stage just before the new color announcement which was being live-streamed worldwide.

Jeremy Welborn put my 2 minutes of it on youtube(see above link) Kai presented me with a gift from the Corvette plant employees signed by Kai in recognition of my 5,000th Corvette delivery due to happen in 2-3 weeks. It was humbling for sure.

~Of course we did get to see the 3 new colors announced for 2022 model year.

~I had asked Kirk Bennion, the Exterior Design Mgr for Corvette at GM if he could play golf this past week as we are always talking Golf when we run into each other. His schedule allowed it so I asked a KY customer/friend of mine Ken Gray if he could set something up at a local course in Bowling Green. He arranged it at Indian Hills CC. Then Kirk asked if he could bring Doug as a 4th? Now I didn’t have to ask who he meant by "Doug", Doug Fehan of course. Doug Fehan was at the Helm of the Corvette racing program for the last 25 years until just recently when being named the as the Corvette brand ambassador. Doug also was being inducted into the National Corvette Museum Hall of Fame the very next night at the Museum after our Golf round. Well we had a blast playing Golf and enjoyed the beautiful weather and golf course…and no we didn’t race Golf carts around the course!

I had Doug sign two pictures that I brought with me. It was from the 2011 24 hrs of Lemans race in France.

~Then at the Museum after the golf round during the Mobil1 presentation it was Doug’s turn for a surprise. Kirk Bennion had arranged with Club Glove to make this one of a kind Golf Bag and head cover’s. Charley R. stood in for Kirk as the presenter. Club Glove outdid themselves with this Golf bag.

So as you can see and read, the Corvette Bash is all about running into friends and sharing the enthusiasm of Corvettes. Hope to see you at a Corvette event in the near future.

Met up with my Kentucky customers and friends, I had never seen Steve’s Corvette because it was a courtesy delivery to his local KY dealer.

Had lunch with Craig M of TX, Jeremy Welborn of OK and Kenny B of TX…all Corvette customers…and friends!

~James K. of Prescott, Arizona placed his 2021 Corvette order to be drop shipped for courtesy delivery in Phoenix, Arizona. This week was delivery time for Jim and his new Red Mist Stingray coupe. Stunning color combo with Sky cool gray interior! Equipment list: 2LT pkg, GT2 buckets, front lift, magnetic select ride and more!

~Pedro M. of Olney, Maryland last ordered a 2017 Z06 and this time he loaded up a Black 1LT Z51 2021 Corvette coupe. Equipment list: 1LT pkg, Black Competition seats, Yellow seat belts, yellow calipers, Yellow full-length stripes, Dual roof pkg, cf black wheels, black composite rockers, engine appearance pkg, Visible CF Mirror caps and visible CF Grille inserts. One cool-looking Corvette!
