Our friends at the NCM Insurance Agency came across a very rare Corvette parked out in public the other day. That car was the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport!
Fresh off its reveal last week, it appears that Corvette Assembly Plant Director Ray Theriault has the pleasure of test driving this new Grand Sport Convertible and we really like his style!
Ray had a CTF car built in the traditional Grand Sport livery complete with Admiral Blue exterior with the Heritage package consisting of the white center stripe and Red hash marks. The car also rides on visible carbon fiber wheels with the red stripe, and it further optioned with the J57 carbon ceramic brakes with the Bright Red brake calipers.
In a separate post from William Francis on Facebook, we saw this same car out in the Plant Director’s parking spot outside the Assembly Plant’s administrative offices which is how we deduced that it was Ray’s Grand Sport. From that post we can see the interior was done in the dipped Santorni Blue with Red stitching and it has Red seatbelts. The video didn’t show the headrests so we are unsure if this is the new Grand Sport’s “Launch Edition” interior or just the new 3LT dipped Blue interior.

William had also captured a White Grand Sport HTC in the Admin parking lot at the Assembly Plant and it was built in Arctic White with a Blue center stripe and the new Black Grand Sport-style wheels. It was the same car that the NCM Insurance Agency captured in the display area which we shared earlier in the week.
And finally, here is a quick video showing the Admiral Blue Grand Sport that was shared on Instagram also by the NCM Insurance Agency.

Doesn’t that red stitching on the Santorni blue dipped seats indicate it is a Launch Edition?
I am unclear if dipped blue is available outside of LE. The headrests on it seem to indicate that it is not.
The 3LZ already had blue pillars/roof on in blue. So the primary visual difference would be the doors. Neither the LE or the existing blue–is available in suede, from what I can tell. Unknown if 2-tone blue sides, black suede center, can be optioned. That would be preferable, imho.
Badge on the bottom of the steering wheel indicates that it will have a badge, unlike the SR.
Still no word on pricing, but I’m going to hazard a guess that this 3LT HTC is already optioned above the entry price of a 1LZ coupe GSX. CF wheels alone probably did that.
