A C6 Corvette driver got themselves into a heap of trouble on Saturday while driving in Tempe, Arizona.
A state trooper with the Arizona Highway Patrol observed the Corvette driving at a high rate of speed on AZ-202 near McClintock Drive.
According to a post on Facebook, the Corvette accelerated through traffic and the driver’s speed was clocked by the LiDAR gun to be traveling 127 MPH in a 65 MPH zone.
The driver was pulled over and arrested for reckless driving and criminal speed.
In Arizona, punishment for reckless driving can be up to 4 months in jail, a fine of $750, and suspension of license for up to 90 days, although first offenders often get little or no jail time. However, fines for both charges could exceed $1,000-$2000 as well as carry significant license consequences (points/suspension).

Guess he must have had traffic to circumvent. I would say it might be able to go slightly faster
hello, kamikaze insurance?
I don’t know the local circumstances but there should be places in Arizona where this speed is of no consequence. Going 127mph or more in a modern corvette is just cruising speed. I say go for it if you have the cojones.
