Constraints for August 2025 Corvette Orders

We are nearly halfway through the month of August and today the GM Order Bank opens for dealers to submit orders for the 2026 Corvette Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06. There were no allocations for the ZR1 this time around, and we are actually hearing it could be another month or so before 2026 ZR1s are allocated.

With the opening of order submissions, GM also sent out the latest constraints for ordering 2026 Corvettes.

This is now the third order cycle for the 2026 Corvettes, and the dealers we spoke with are extremely frustrated due to the fact that there is no 2026 configurator yet. The latest word we heard now was “Late August” but at this point who knows. It’s a lot harder for both customers and dealers to order cars this way as with the configurator there would be a list of every RPO/LPO on the order, plus the customer has a visual representation of what their cars will look like and a total price. Without it, dealers and customers are relying on the 2025 configurator and then having to turn to the order guide to ensure they have all the right codes for the new interiors, and that any other new options are properly included.

For this order cycle, we do have a couple of constraints affecting orders across the model line up. It appears that the AQ9 GT1 Bucket Seats in Jet Black Interior with custom stitching are not available currently with the Competition Yellow, Santorini Blue, or Adrenaline Red Custom Stitching (36S/37S/38S). Also, the new CF8 Removable Transparent Electronic Roof is not available across the model line up as well.

As for the other models, the Stingray has a limited supply of Q9I 20-Spoke Gloss Black Wheels and the Corvette Z06 has limited Carbon Fiber Aero available.

2026 Corvette ZR1

We are also working on a story about 2026 Corvette Z06 and E-Ray buyers no longer held to GM’s Six Month Owner Retention Program. We’ve reached out to our contacts at Chevrolet as we work to confirm this.

  1. To: All Chevrolet Dealers, Dealer Principals, and General Managers
    From: Chevrolet
Subject: Changes to MY26 Corvette Retention Periods
Please be aware of the following retention period changes for high-powered variants of Corvette.
For MY26, the retention periods are as follows:
    • Corvette ZR1 & ZR1X: 1-year retention policy
    • Corvette E-Ray & Z06:
o NOTICE: The 6-month retention policy is removed and no longer in effect for MY26
The 1-year retention period illustrated above for ZR1and ZR1X starts the day the vehicle is reported delivered to customer (Event 6000). If your customer decides to sell, or otherwise transfer ownership of their 2026 ZR1 or ZR1X within the first (12) months after delivery:
    • Purchasing customer will be ineligible to place a vehicle reservation or a sold order with a Chevrolet dealer for certain high demand models (as identified by GM), including but not limited to future Chevrolet Corvette models.
    • The Bumper-to-Bumper, Powertrain, Sheet Metal, Electric Vehicle Propulsion (ZR1X only), Tire and Accessory coverages under GM’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty will be voided (this does not include the EV Battery Warranty Coverage, which will not be voided).

  2. AGREED! I’ve always wondered why anyone would purchase any car that is the color of a battleship. Maybe that’s why it’s no longer available, lackluster sales.
