For decades, critics loved to take shots at the Corvette’s cabin.
Not anymore.
The Corvette ZR1X has officially landed on the 2026 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX list, a recognition that cements just how far Chevrolet has pushed the C8 platform — inside and out.
WardsAuto didn’t hold back, calling the ZR1X interior “a combination between an Italian supercar and jet fighter cockpit.” And here’s the best part for everyday Corvette fans: every 2026 Corvette, from the base Stingray to the top tier ZR1X, now shares this redesigned interior. Million dollar taste, Stingray budget.
One detail that wowed the judges is something Corvette owners have been enjoying since 2020: the front end lift. WardsAuto highlighted the ZR1X’s massive carbon fiber splitter — just inches off the pavement — and praised Chevy’s simple, elegant solution:
“Push a button on the console and the front end rises two inches to clear hazards.”
Corvette people smiled. They’ve been doing that for years.
WardsAuto evaluated 28 vehicles with new or heavily refreshed interiors from February through April. Judges lived with each car in daily driving and scored them on:
• Aesthetics and materials
• Comfort and seating
• Fit and finish
• Connectivity and infotainment
• Displays and controls
• ADAS usability
• Overall value
The price range was enormous — from the $35,000 Nissan Sentra SR to the $250,000 ZR1X, the most expensive vehicle tested. Yet the Corvette didn’t just compete with luxury SUVs and EVs; it out shined them.
Across the board, the winning vehicles shared traits the ZR1X delivers in spades:
• Striking colors and textures
• Comfortable, feature rich seats (heating, ventilation, and more)
• A welcome return of physical knobs and buttons
• Fast, seamless device connectivity
• Intuitive driver assistance tech
• Sustainable interior materials available across trims
The ZR1X simply executed these ideas with more drama — and more Corvette personality — than anything else on the list.
Alongside the Corvette, the winners included:
• Genesis GV70 3.5T Sport Prestige
• GMC Acadia Denali Ultimate
• Jeep Cherokee Overland 4×4
• Mercedes Benz CLA 250+ Electric
• Nissan Sentra SR
• Porsche Macan 4S
• Subaru Outback Touring XT
• Toyota RAV4 Limited
• Volkswagen Tiguan SEL R Line
A diverse group — but only one wears crossed flags.

I’ll bet that all of the rest of those vehicles have Adaptive Cruise and Ambient Lighting.
