This turnkey chrome-bumper Corvette with a few unique twists is currently being offered on Craigslist out of Indian Lake Estates in central Florida.
The seller points out that his 1970 Stingray isn’t “a fixer upper or a flipper” so he’s ready to stand firm on the price of $28,900.
Who can blame him? After all, this vintage C3 has a great silver and black custom paint job with “not a rock nick or scratch on it,” he adds. We really like the unusual look that features a black stinger on the hood, gradient decals on the sides reminiscent of the 1982 Collector Edition, and a black striped rear end similar to Motion cars of the era.
“Basically this (has been) a ‘garage queen’ since I repainted it in 2000,” the seller explains.
The car has been driven just 45,600 miles over the past 55 years, and we’re hoping the owner has some documentation to back up that impressive claim.
A couple of dozen photos with the listing include one showing the 350/300 horsepower V8 engine that’s mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The car also includes air conditioning, which if you’re in an area like Florida is a must, and the black interior remains in very nice condition.
This Stingray also includes a new chambered dual exhaust “for that rumble your neighbors will just love,” the owner quips.
All in all, this ’70 is “ready to drive and enjoy,” he concludes, “so call to arrange a viewing appointment.” Do you have your phone out already?
