Good day, Corvette friends and welcome to another of our Friday polls. With the weekend near and St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, everything is coming up green, so let’s talk Corvette greens.
Green on Corvettes is one of those shades that tends to come and go over the years. The first Corvette green was Cascade Green in 1956 which was more of a 50’s pastel turquoise. After a 2-year run, Cascade green was gone before reappearing for 1 year in 1960 as an olive-toned hue. In 1965 we got Glen Green and 1966 brought us Mosport Green.
The following year Corvette got attractive Goodwood Green to wrap up the C2 generation.
The C3 era kicked off with British Green in 1968 and moved to Fathom Green in 1969. 1970 brought us Donnybrooke Green. That moved to Brands Hatch green in 1971 and attractive Elkhart Green in 1972 and 1973. Chevrolet added Blue-Green as a 1973 option as well. 1974, 1976, 1979 and 1980 gave us 4 unique Dark Greens while 1975 gave us Bright Green. Silver Green closed out the C3 era in 1982.
Since 1984, greens have been pretty limited. 4th generation Corvettes didn’t see a green until handsome Polo Green arrived in 1990. That later morphed into Polo II Green which ran through 1996. The C5 era began with Fairway Green in 1997 and 1998, then took 1999 off before returning with Dark Bowling Green in 2000. After that, green underwent a long hiatus until 1-year only Lime Rock Green graced us in 2014 to usher in the C7 era. From there we must look all the way until 2024 to find Corvette’s most recent green – Cacti.
So, with that quick review of Corvette greens? Do you prefer the older, softer Greens like Cascade or Mosport? Or are you more of a dark green person with Polo or Lime Rock Green? Maybe you’re more of an Elkhart or Bright Green person.

Lime Green!
Lime Rock Green is my choice but not listed in the poll colors so I picked Fairway Green. Fairway has a little Gold added.
If I had a ’57 it would definitely Cascade Green. I start drooling uncontrollably every time I see one.
Fairway Green of course, because golf and St. Patty are from Scotland LOL!
MOSPORT GREEN !
Hard to believe Goodwood Green the most popular color on 1967 Sting Rays didn’t make the list.
Mossport?
Glen Green for sure at number 1. Probably a very underappreciated color but it’s perfect.
Since I’m a C7 man I like Lime Rock Green Metallic the best. To see the poll results I voted for Bright Green from the 75 Corvette that I’ve always liked also. I was stunned to see it finished dead last in the voting.
Not cacti
I owned a ’67 Vette in Goodwood Green with White Interior, Soft Top, and Stinger-The most beautiful car I ever owned, and it’s NOT on your List?????????????
Lime Rock Green but it couldn’t be picked as it’s not in the list.
No Glen or Mosport – WTH??
You left out Turquise Metallic which is technically a blue but is considered a green by most people and the dmv!
It would be good to put labels on these pictures. I have no idea what the names of these green paint colors are, and I would imagine most poeple are in the same situation.
Really? Donnybrooke Green isn’t even in the running yet it was a most popular color in 1970 and ONLY in that year. A true dark green that looked classy with either a dark brown or optional tan interior. You even have pictures of one in your article. Unfortunately you didn’t label them. Lime Rock Green, a Limited 2014 color and nothing. Not a fair choice to choose from. PS Cacti Green is awful!
