[POLL] What is Your Corvette New Year's Resolution?

With 2023 in the rearview mirror, it’s time to bring 2024 into focus and make some plans for that brand new year ahead of us. Most resolutions focus on losing weight, saving money, or spending more time with family. But what about our rides? We’ve all got things we’d love to get to when it comes to our Corvettes. Did you finish all your 2023 Corvette projects? What’s next for you and your prized Corvette?

All these questions can only be properly answered via our first reader poll of 2024. So, what’s your Corvette New Year’s Resolution? Have a specific project (or projects) you want to get done? Maybe it’s rebuild a pesky Holley carburetor. How about finally replacing those squeaky C3 brakes?

Maybe you’ve got a bigger project in mind. How many of you want to install a supercharger or more extensive engine mod on your LS or LT motor? Is your goal just to drive the thing more? Our hobby offers so much potential and so many options it can be difficult to accomplish all that we want to each year.

My biggest goal last year was to achieve a Triple Diamond award with my 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette. Since I was fortunate to check that off the list, I can move on 2024. One of my priorities is drive my 1994 ZR1 more. With most of 2023’s focus on the 1978 Corvette, I only got a couple hundred miles in the King last year. Also, I’d really like to get a new windshield in the ole C4 as well. Thanks to some diligent work by the ZR1 Registry (a must-join if you own a ZR1) it looks like 2024 will finally be the year to get a correct, later ZR1 replacement windshield.

Other than that, I’d like to find a new car event to attend. Some event, activity, or place I haven’t been to before. I’ve been very fortunate to visit many of the top gearhead activities on the planet like SEMA, the Spring Mountain Driving School, the Meadowbrook (now Detroit) Concours d’elgance and more, but several items remain on my automotive bucket list. Monterrey Week (drool) probably won’t happen this year, so I’d like to potentially attend the Amelia Island Concourse for the first time. Mecum Indianapolis is much closer to home and could be more easily attainable and another good option. I’ve not been there since 2017.

Each new year brings all sorts of opportunities. What’s your 2024 Corvette New Year’s Resolution or goal? Place your vote in our poll below and you can vote for more than one! Don’t see your goal or resolution? Let’s know us your plans in the Comments section.

  1. Here’s my resolution.

I’m going to go into the forums and offer my opinions to anyone that will listen to me. For clarity, I don’t know what I’m talking about and have never owned a Corvette, but I’ll make sure everyone is paying attention to me.

You won’t know who I am. You won’t know for sure what I’m saying is true. But you’ll repeat what I say as fact and argue that your opinion is informed and valid when, truthfully, you know nothing about what you’re talking about.

I could be anyone, but we all know I’m you.
