[VIDEO] 2023 Corvette Z06 Sells for $264K at Mecum Las Vegas

One of the featured vehicles to cross the auction block at Mecum’s Las Vegas sale over the weekend was this Rapid Blue 2023 Corvette Z06 with Z07, Carbon Fiber wheels, and the full visible Carbon Fiber aero package. Inside is a 3LZ interior with two-tone Tension/Twilight Blue GT2 seats with orange seatbelts, and it was further optioned with the Level 2 interior Carbon Fiber trim package as well as the stealth interior trim.

The VIN on the car shows it was sequence number 554 to be built, and it has 1,256 miles showing on the odometer. As the owner held the car longer than six months, the full factory warranty is transferrable to the new owner.

The Rapid Blue Z06 was Lot #103.1 and was offered on Saturday afternoon. Here is the sale video of the car with commentary from John Kraman and the Mecum announcers.

The Corvette Z06 would hammer for $240,000 and with the buyer’s commission, the out-the-door price was $264,000. Stick around until the end as well to see who bought the car as the buyer of this great American sports car is not who you were probably expecting.

Looking through our archives, we believe this Z06 tied Mecum’s price for the third highest-selling Corvette Z06 this year. The high sale for the year goes to a 70th Anniversary car which sold for $302,500 with commission at Glendale, while a 1LZ Torch Red Coupe sold for $275K at Mecum Kissimmee. An Orange Z06 Convertible also sold at Glendale for $264K.

  1. Why are these vettes going for so much?! The only thing I can come up with is some people’s bragging rights! I guess I’m so old school on the price of vettes,75 years old and having a vette since I was 19 years old, back then I bought a strip out( no engine or trans) for $1200 and installed an engine and 4 speed myself for $250. By the way it was a 2 year old vette 1965 in 1967.

  2. If you have the money and really want it, go ahead. I don’t like the color, especially the red stripe, but thats all subjective. Enjoy it lady!

  3. Had the stripes and belts been orange rather than red, it would have worked much nicer. Two bidders with lots of money and no need to justify their bidding…liked it and went for it. It won’t prevent them from making a mortgage payment.

  4. I have never understood why ANYONE would want to pay another 10% on top of the price. Or sell for that matter, what a stupid waste of money. Never have understood this, I mean a little commission I could see but 10%?? Wholly shit!! Buying any car from these clowns or B-J for that matter is friggen moronic. But people are not real bright so there ya go. More money then brains comes to mind.
