Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.
It was another typical week for Mike at the dealership as he shares some great new photos and the equipment listings on several new Z06s. ~Imagine having vin 0001 of any model year Corvette! Below is the very first 1953, vin 001.
First production Corvette 1953 #001 is on it’s way to Vegas to attend the Mecum auction. No, it’s not being auctioned off, it’s to be put on public display. Corey Peterson and John Amgwert will be there to answer questions and will be videoing a presentation for the Motor-Trend channel about the discovery and documentation of the car. If you’re near Vegas this weekend you should check it out. This is a rare opportunity to see the first production Corvette built in person. If you miss this one, there will be another chance to see it at the next Bloomington Gold meet this coming summer. The car will be on display there also. Mark your calendars.
I’m sure the specifics of the raffle will be announced soon on the Bowling Green Fire Dept website so stay tuned. Take a look at todays Museum delivery pics and a few pics of raffle car#2 as it was shipped to the fortunate winner that resides on the West Coast of Florida. Big shout out to Chet of AEROLARRI wheels as he always donates one off wheels for the raffle Corvette.
~Michael and Rhonda P. of Smithfield, Virginia have not only bought Corvettes from me in the past but today they drove away in their 21st Corvette that they have owned! They ordered a beautiful Red Mist metallic tintcoat 2024 Corvette Z06 Coupe with Adrenaline Red interior. They both are thrilled with the combo and were looking forward to the 211 mile ride home. Lookout VIR after Mike reaches 1,500 miles on the odometer.
The photos are now supplied to me by Fotofx, a company that has been working within the Museum for the past 10+ years and now they have pkgs available for a truly special experience to be captured digitally. I recommend their process the next time you take delivery at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY!

What would be terrifically great to see is, if you could find,
a video showing the making of the American Corvette flag.
Where do they start, and how much time does it take to make.
Along with other interesting facts about it.
The precision is remarkable. I think your readers would enjoy that.
My car has been built over a month now and has not been sent to my dealership, i’d like to know why can’t get any answers, also it says in transit on the dealer site but it isn’t. Chevorlet shoud do better by it’s customers.
Lots of new Corvettes sitting in a lot in Pontiac for who knows what….
JRD, I’ve seen a time lapse video of the making of the American Corvette flag at Corvettes at Carlisle. I thought I saw it right here on Corvette Blogger but I’m not positive that’s where I saw it.
