Mecum is Bringing These Corvettes to Las Vegas on November 9-11


Mecum Auctions will be taking over the Las Vegas Convention Center for its seventh annual collector car auction on November 9-11. Collector car enthusiasts will have 1,000 reasons to watch and bid with a variety of American muscle cars, classics, hot rods, and of course, plenty of Corvettes offered at the event.

Las Vegas is always a fun city to visit, and with Mecum Auctions in town, roll the dice and let the fun begin!

The Corvette consignments at Mecum’s Las Vegas auction are impressive with more than 40 Corvettes covering all eight generations. In addition to the individual sellers bringing in their cars to sell, you’ll also want to watch the five No-Reserve Corvettes that will be sold from a Private No Reserve Collection. Highlights of the collection include a 1972 454 Coupe and a Torch Red 2022 Corvette Stingray.

The current breakdown of Corvettes consigned to Las Vegas is below with C2 and C3 Corvettes leading the way. Mecum always does well in bringing in the classics and restored vehicles, but the Las Vegas auction also attracts its fair share of restomods and modern day sports cars with high performance vehicles tuned by Hennessey and Callaway, while all eyes will be on the Saturday sale of a 2023 Corvette Z06 with the Z07 Performance Package and Carbon Fiber wheels.

We took a stroll through the Corvette consignments and there will be something in Las Vegas for any Corvette enthusiast. Here are the 10 Corvettes we’ll be watching during the three-day Mecum Las Vegas sale:

F78 – 2014 Corvette Z51 Coupe

Lot #F78 is a 2014 Corvette Z51 Coupe in Velocity Yellow with a Black 3LT interior. Power comes from an LT1 V8 engine mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifts. Delivered new to MacMulkin Corvette, this Stingray Coupe is loaded with options which include the Z51 Performance Package, Magnetic Selective Ride Control Performance Exhaust, Carbon Fiber interior package, Red calipers, carbon flash hood stripe and Black painted alloy wheels.

F160 – 2019 Corvette ZR1 Hennessey HPE1000

This 2019 Corvette ZR1 features the Hennessey Performance HPE 1000 upgrade with a 6.2L V8 that makes 1,000 horsepower and offers a top speed rated at 230 MPH! It even comes with a dyno sheet verifying power rating. The ZR1 is painted in Watkins Glen Gray and has a 3ZR Black custom leather interior with Blue stitching and it rides on Black alloy wheels with Blue brake calipers. 6,950 miles are shown on the odometer.

S37 – 1959 Corvette Convertible

This 1959 Corvette Convertible is nicely restored with a White exterior featuring silver coves and a black interior. The classic lines of the C1 are enhanced with the optional hard top. This classic C1 Corvette is powered with the 283 V8 coupled with a 4-speed manual transmission.

S48 – 1996 Corvette Grand Sport Convertible

1996 Corvette Grand Sport Convertible is #751 of 1,000 built and it’s one of 190 convertibles produced. It wears the original Admiral Blue/White exterior with Red hashmarks and a Black interior. The car is believed to be 1 of 10 built as optioned supported by Certificate of Uniqueness from the Grand Sport Registry. It’s powered by the one-year 330-hp LT4 V8 and coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission. The odometer reads 4,750 miles. Documentation includes original window sticker, copy of build sheet, and includes books and dealer brochures.

S98 – 1964 Corvette Convertible

Lot #S98 is a Red/Red 1964 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible with a white convertible top, and the car is powered by the 327/375 hp fuel-injected V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Odometer reads 71,489 miles. The Sting Ray has undergone a comprehensive body-off restoration with correct reproduction BF Goodrich Silvertown Whitewall Radials on factory Kelsey Hayes aluminum knock-off wheels. California car delivered new at Courtesy Chevrolet in Los Angeles. Documentation includes original owners manual, NCRS paperwork, and magazine with picture of the car on the cover.

S98.1 – 2015 Corvette Z06 Callaway SC757

2015 Corvette Z06 with Callaway’s SC757 upgrade featuring their GenIII supercharger with a power rating of 757 horsepower. The 6.2L LT4 is mated with an automatic transmission with paddle shift. The car is finished in Velocity Yellow with a Black interior and removable Targa top. Black alloy wheels, Yellow brake calipers, and a huge rear wing help complete the look. Inside the car is the carbon fiber package, and the stock seats were replaced with Edirb leather bucket seats.

S103.1 – 2023 Corvette Z06 Coupe 3LZ

One of the Star cars featured on Saturday is this 2023 Corvette Z06 Coupe in Rapid Blue with the 3LZ Two-Tone Blue interior. VIN #554 was completed in January 2023 and the factory warranty is transferrable. The Z06 is loaded with the Z07 Performance Package, visible carbon fiber wheels, visible carbon fiber aero, visible carbon fiber removable roof, visible carbon fiber rear view mirrors, Front Lift, and it was accessorized with an Orange racing stripe and brake calipers. Inside are GT2 sport seats with orange seat belts, a level 2 carbon fiber package, and the stealth interior trim package.

2023 Corvette Z06 Coupe 3LZ

S146.1 – 1958 Corvette Restomod

This Mint Green 1958 Corvette Restomod was built with an Art Morrison chassis and it offers an LS3 V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. It comes with air conditioning, power brakes, tinted glass, upgraded gauges, clock and a pushbutton radio.

S193 – 1963 Corvette Split-Window Coupe with 383

This 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe is nicely customized with a painted stinger hood and modern 5-spoke polished wheels. This Split Window offers the classic looks from the one-year-only design but has been updated with a modern drivetrain. It’s powered by a new 383-stroker V8 crate engine with computer-controlled fuel injection, new suspension, and ABS brakes. The coupe was also repainted.

S205 – 2019 Corvette ZR1 Convertible

Rounding out our preview is a 2019 Corvette ZR1 Convertible featuring the Sebring Orange Design Package that includes a Jet Black interior, Sebring Orange Stitching, Orange seat belts, and Black alloy wheels with Orange brake calipers. This ZR1 has the low wing spoiler and its equipped with an automatic transmission with paddle shifters. It’s a driver-quality ZR1 with the odometer reading 34,675 miles.

Mecum’s Las Vegas 2023

Mecum’s 2023 Las Vegas Auction will be held November 9-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and an estimated 1,000 collector vehicles are consigned. The gates open at 8:00 am PT and the auction action kicks off daily at 10 am PT. MotorTrend TV and MotorTrend+ will be providing television coverage from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET on Friday and Saturday of the sale.

Mecum offers options for in-person, telephone and internet bidding starting at $100, and you can register to bid at Mecum.com. If you want to check out the action as a spectator, general admission tickets can be purchased in advance online for $20 per person, per day, and for $30 at the door and online after Nov. 8; children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission.
