With the arrival of the 2023 Corvette Z06, the Corvette Team decided to also show off a brand new interior option that will also debut in 2023 – the dipped Adrenaline Red interior. I know many who have been really impressed with the new upper-level interior choice, and that includes us here at CorvetteBlogger after three out of five of us here choose it on our Z06 Blogger Builds.

Corvette owners are known for “wanting it all,” but whenever the Corvette Team offers something new like a new interior or exterior color, it also usually means that something has to go away to make room. In 2023 that will be the 3LT dipped Morello Red interior.

We learned that tidbit of news yesterday after posting a video of Corvette Chief Engineer Josh Holder who held a Tech Talk and Q&A with the 2023 Corvette Z06 at Petit Le Mans.

Knowing the Morello Red is going away, we went back to check out the production stats for the interior color and now we see why Chevy is letting this one go. In 2020 it was featured on only 297 out of 20,368 produced for a penetration rate of just 1.46%. In 2021 it grew to 355 out of 26,216 but the take rate actually fell to 1.34% of Corvettes produced with the dark red interior during the model year.

Other interior changes for 2023 include the addition of a new Level 2 Carbon Fiber package and a stealth aluminum option that takes some of the brightness out of the interior with darker-colored speaker grilles. The Z06 will be getting a carbon fiber steering wheel and paddle shifters on the 3LZ interiors and Josh also said that there will be some additional stitch patterns “that will enhance and set the Z06 apart” from its Stingray sibling.

Finally, it was rumored by MotorTrend earlier this year that another change headed for the 2023 Corvette was a redesign to remove the Great Wall of Buttons in the car’s interior, but it looks like that design feature is here to say for now.

  1. That’s 2 for 2. No more Shadow Grey and now no more Morello. Out of the 297 cars in 2020, how many had both?

  2. Morello Red should never have been a choice in the first place. It’s too dull & boring. The switch to Adrenaline Red Dipped will prove to be a game-changer. No question. It’ll be the perfect choice to complement my black 2023 HTC!

  3. Glad I made the 2022 cut because my Morello Red interior is awesome with my Hypersonic grey exterior.

  4. Larry D. Dipped interior means full color including the carpet, door panels, and dashboard

  5. Would love to see a dip white and gray interior color, however I do like where Chevrolet is going. Enjoy your day all.

  6. I had planned for 3LT adrenaline red with black seats and red stitching….but the move to dipped may eliminate that combination…. Enjoy the ride.
