[POLL] BLOGGER BUILDS: 2023 Corvette Z06 – Who Built it Best?

It might surprise you, but all five of the regular Corvette Blogger contributors are wildly infatuated with America’s Favorite Sports Car. The camouflage cover hadn’t even finished floating to the ground after being pulled off of the C8 Z06 last Tuesday before we were all hard at work, imagining the perfect way to build the most powerful naturally aspirated V8-powered car in the history of the automobile. I floated the idea of posting all of our finished products to our fearless leader and then letting our knowledgeable readership pick a favorite. Everyone was game, and Keith upped the ante by offering up some swag from the reveal to whichever one of us was able to capture the most votes with our configuration. Now, it is finally game day!

When the dust settled, we were revealed to be a rather eclectic group of ‘Vette fanatics. What we wound up with was three hard-top convertibles, two coupes, three winged Z07s, and two base-aero-mobiles. Four of the twelve exterior colors were represented by our builds, with Mitch and Steve both selecting the hard-to-beat Arctic White. Jeremy went with Torch Red, while Keith opted for the new Hypersonic Gray, and I (Alex) kicked everything off with Amplify Orange.

Inside, I paired my orange dream with Natural Dipped leather, and the “Stevealiscious” spec added some much-needed Tension Blue to the proceedings. The other three combatants all selected the gorgeous new Adrenaline Red Dipped interior. I could fill an entire page with nuances of our builds, but two things we all agreed on are the hot-new level 2 carbon fiber interior package and the 3LZ trim level (likely, because money was no object). The final stand-out selections were Jeremy’s full-length carbon flash stripes and Steve’s unique combination of Tech Bronze wheels and yellow brake calipers (everyone else but me (orange) went with one of the red stoppers).

Judging by initial page views, Jeremy has to be the favorite going into this poll; he rode the “all Corvettes are red” ethos to more than 10k clicks. Orangie is currently sitting in second and knocking on the door of 9,000 views but likely received a day-after-reveal boost. Keith was the first to ring in under the Z’s redline with 6,800 views, followed by Mitch’s 5,800. Steve’s final entry to the series just passed 2k, but was batting in the lack-luster five-spot on a Tuesday, so who knows if there is actually any foreshadowing going on there?!
