C8 Corvette Visible Carbon Fiber Roof Bows Now Available from Chevrolet Accessories

It was back in late October that we learned that Chevrolet was going to offer a visible carbon fiber roof bow for the C8 Corvette and now those new parts are showing as available from Chevrolet Accessories.

The Roof Bow or Halo has it was known on previous generations of Corvettes is that body panel that separates the removable roof panel and the rear hatch.

Chevy is offering a visible carbon fiber replacement for the body-colored panel. When paired with a visible carbon fiber roof, the new roof bow extends the look of the visible carbon fiber across the entire roofline.

The new roof bows are available in three current body colors that include Torch Red, Elkhart Lake Blue, and Arctic White, and they are priced with an MSRP of $2,995. The roof bows feature color-match edges for seamless integration with your current roofs and the carbon fiber is meticulously handcrafted to match the visible carbon fiber components already on your C8.

Installation of the Roof Bow can be accomplished either by your Chevrolet Dealer or you can do it yourself by following the included instructions. The Roof Bow is attached using 14 bolts that are included.

The new visible carbon fiber roof bows are available through your Chevy dealer’s parts department or online via accessories.chevrolet.com.

  1. Visually, I don’t see much point to this slight extension of the carbon fibre portion of the roof. Now, if you could extend the carbon fibre portion all the way to the rear window, then that might be worth considering.

  2. Good point, DougR – If this were not an option, but instead was something done on all colors and all models, instead, it would provide that difference between the 2020 and the 2021 that another member suggested would make the cars more interesting by being able to look at an external difference that would differentiate the model years within the C8 generation. This is a nitpick or a refined point, depending upon how you’d like to look at it It is a bit peculiar that this option is available only on three of the colors. Perhaps someone else who knows Corvette better than I do, can come up with a traditional reason for this narrow color selection option for the 2021 Corvette. AF
