The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky has finished second in the “Best Attraction for Car Lovers” in the 2024 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Winning top honors was a relatively new museum called the Savoy Automobile Museum just off I-75 in Bartow County, Georgia.
A panel of travel experts first selected the top 20 nominees from across the U.S., and then the public voted on their favorites to come up with the final Top 10.
“We were honored just to be nominated and included among the best automotive attractions across the country,” said Macra Adair, executive director of Savoy. “I am blown away by the amount of support and advocacy we have received. Our ranking at the top of this list is a direct reflection of the dedication and determination of our members, volunteers, staff, friends, and fans. Their voices are helping Savoy exceed expectations by creating a cultural resource within the car culture community.”
Since opening in December 2021, the Savoy’s mission has been “to foster connections to the rich cultural diversity of automobiles” through changing exhibits, educational programs, and engaging experiences that allow visitors to deeply appreciate the artistry and history of cars. The museum also displays a curated collection of original automotive-themed artwork.
Savoy Automobile Museum is located at 3 Savoy Lane in Cartersville, GA. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. For more information, visit savoymuseum.org.
