We recently heard from our friend Michael Yager, son of Mid America Motorworks founder Mike Yager, about a new venture he was starting called MDY Motorcars. MDY will be offering for sale all types of sportscars, luxury cars, and vintage rides, building on Michael’s lifelong experience of growing up in a car family and overseeing the famous “MY Garage Museum”. With experiences of buying and selling high-end cars at auction, as well as his stint as a sales consultant at a Chicago-area Rolls Royce dealership, MDY Motorcars appears to be well suited for helping make dreams come true for today’s car aficionados.

Michael asked us to check out one of the first cars he was offering for sale and how could we refuse when we saw that it was a 1996 Corvette Grand Sport that wears VIN 006!

Bloomington Gold late last week announced an exciting addition to their judging portfolio. Beginning this year at their Indianapolis event, they’ll be judging Restomod Corvettes in addition to factory correct restorations and unrestored originals. It’s no secret that Restomods are one of the fastest-growing corners of the Corvette hobby so it just makes sense that Bloomington Gold would embrace this trend.

[PODCAST] Corvette Product Manager Harlan Charles on the Corvette Today Podcast

Harlan Charles (L) with Corvette Today host Steve Garrett (R)

One of the strengths of the Corvette Team is their ready availability to talk Corvettes directly with consumers. We see members of the Corvette Team often at various shows, events and races, and they are all easily approachable and will take the time to listen to owners with concerns or those singing the praises of the car. Because of that bond, the Corvette Team has their fingers on the pulse of Corvette buyers and what they want out of their sports cars.

One person who is especially good at all that is Corvette product manager Harlan Charles. Although we have yet to see Harlan in person this year due to travel and other COVID-19 restrictions (Harlan reminded me that we did see each other at February’s C8 drive in Las Vegas – seems like a different time!), he has made himself available for various interviews and we are told that his appearance this week on the CORVETTE TODAY podcast is a can’t miss!
