Chevrolet to Hold Virtual Fan Experience Celebrating its Classic and Current Vehicles


With Detroit’s annual Woodward Dream Cruise canceled over Coronavirus fears, Chevrolet is looking to take summer car cruising virtual by hosting a week-long celebration of its classic and current vehicles, and they want to you show your love for the bowtie brand using the hashtag #ChevyLove.

The virtual event is titled “Crusin’ in the USA in your Chevrolet” and will take place the week of August 10-16th on Chevrolet’s social media channels.

Chevrolet will be utilizing their extensive archives featuring historic footage and photos that reach back all the way to the car company’s founding in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William “Billy” Durant. We also are told that Chevrolet will be featuring a number of vehicles from the GM Heritage Center as well.

“Classic car events have served as a place for us to honor Chevrolet’s deep automotive history and its influence on our present and future with car enthusiasts from around the world,” said Steve Majoros, vice president of marketing, Chevrolet. “Cruisin’ the USA in your Chevrolet is a way for us to keep that spirit alive.”

Each day will feature a different theme and there will be a lot offered including guest appearances, trivia and more. Chevrolet will even have activities for the kiddos including coloring sheets, puzzles, and activities from the Chevy Design School on Pinterest.

August 16: Race Day – Cheering on Team Chevy at NASCAR and the NHRA Nationals

Chevrolet fans will be offered a downloadable 18×24 collectible poster featuring a 1967 C10 CST pickup, 1957 Corvette convertible, 2020 Corvette C8.R, and 2020 Camaro ZL1.
