[VIDEO] C7 Corvette ZR1 Runs 207 MPH on the Space Shuttle Runway

Well, this is an instance where the title pretty much says it all! The 2019 Corvette ZR1 still holds the title of most powerful Corvette ever built. Its front-mounted (remember when Corvette drivers sat behind the engine?) 6.2L LT5 V8 spends 110 horses just to spin the 2.65-liter supercharger protruding through its carbon fiber hood. Even with that parasitic loss, the engine nets an insane 755 horses and 715 lb.-ft. of torque. Chevrolet officially attached an impressive sub-three-second 60 MPH sprint, a 10-tick quarter mile, and a Cross Flag record top speed of 212 mph to its most musclebound Corvette.

When Chevrolet released the 2019 Corvette ZR1, it became the swan song not only for C7 generation but for all front-engine Corvettes. Our only complaint with the car was that it was just a one year option! With the mid-engine Corvette on the way, we don’t believe many truly saw what a great investment the ZR1 would become.

GM Issues New Service Bulletin On How to Fix the Z06's LT6 Engine Ticking Noise

About two weeks ago we heard from a Z06 owner whose car was one of those with the excessive ticking noise coming from the LT6 V8 engine. As you may recall, some owners have said their car starts ticking loudly as it reaches operating temperature. GM had issued a preliminary service bulletin that offered a sound clip of the ticking noise, and also stated that no drivability issues were present with the noise.
