[VIDEO] Speed Phenom Now Claims He is Getting a Corvette E-Ray, Wants Your Help to Pay For It

1. I have been an appreciative follower of SP for a long time. The track testing and analysis of the various C8 models has been spot on. I now question his authenticity. I can’t believe his income stream for sponsors is lacking. He spends money like a drunken sailor.
   I just lost a little respect.

2. I’m sick of this little puke.

   He is a sensational media darling car flipper and not a Corvette enthusiast.

   He also has an irritating voice.

3. I unsubbed him a few years ago because I found him to be uber annoying with the way he laugh/studders/whateverthehellthatis way he speaks. And now he wants us to pay to watch…as if he’s the only youtuber that brings content.

   Awhile back he complained about car flippers doing it for profit, and now he’s selling his C8Z for WAY over the sticker price. A car that has been thoroughly beat on…and he’s asking premium price for it.

   SP, Stradman, and Emelia are the most annoying automotive YT’er out there…I have a browser plug in that blocks their channels from my feed.

15. I didn’t mind SP…and really I don’t mind Emelia…I understand the negatives thrown in their direction. But I have lost a little respect for SP. All told (and perhaps it is just jealousy) the method in which these Youtubers get these vehicles just irks me. I do understand those with huge subscriber numbers getting some preferential treatment from GM…because it is essentially free advertising for them…But SP…I don’t see what he has done to actually earn the cars he has had the privilege to drive. Emelia has at least started at the bottom and built her brand, whether you like it or not or feel it is deserved or not.

    SP comes across as a kid who is a billionaires son and has been able to get toy after toy. And now he is looking for another “toy”. And he wants us to pay for it….I am sorry, I am still saving to buy my first vette. I am 50+ yrs old…been a fan of vettes for more than 40 of them. Some of my fondest memories is of being in and working on my Uncle’s 67′. I know exactly what I am looking for and I am working dang hard to earn and save for that car. And these guys come across as a kid who is tired of the GI Joe he got for Christmas and is already crying for the newest action figure in January.

    I am not even sure WHY he is getting an E-Ray. He loves to track, and that is not the FOCUS of the E-Ray. He and many other you tubers like him can leave a bad taste in the mouth for those that are truly passionate about a certain car or cars in general. They can come across a braggart and not as an enthusiast.

    I appreciate those who truly appreciate what they are driving. Where what they are driving is more than a “toy”. Many of the journalists, they don’t get to take those cars home, in general. And while I am jealous of the experiences they have. Their respect and enthusiasm come through. I enjoy guys like Legit Street Cars whose passion is evident. I enjoy others who understand that not everyone has the chance to experience what they are doing. The ones who are not “showing” their new toy with you, but the ones who are doing the next best thing to handing their keys over to you and are “sharing”.

16. I have been saving money for 2 years now to buy a corvette. Have 30 grand saved so far, feel free to send me any extra money you have so I can buy one instead of this fool.

21. I distinctly remember leaving a “not-so-nice” comment about him (but nicer than most of the above) on a particular site last year that was promptly removed. I thought it was a technical issue, so I reposted it… Again it was removed.
    Weird how things can change over a year…
