Our friends who work the assembly line at the world’s only factory that builds Corvettes will be getting an extended holiday vacation this year. While the traditional holiday break usually extends for two weeks, workers at the Corvette Assembly Plant will be getting four weeks off for the holidays starting a week from Monday.
We reached out to the Assembly Plant who confirmed that the plant will be closed from Monday, December 15th and will reopen for operations on Monday, January 12th.
Personally, we don’t mind seeing these extended closures as it does help keep the dealer inventories from stacking up with available cars during the coldest winter months which is traditionally Corvettes slowest sales period for new cars. With no 2026s being produced and the 2025s now getting $4,000 of Loyalty Cash through January 2nd, we are hoping to see the current inventory of Corvettes available come down even more.
What are those inventories, you ask? We turned to Chevrolet.com for the Live Inventory Tracker to get a snapshot of how many Corvettes are showing on dealer lots. Not all these cars are for sale but it’s still a great indicator of what’s happening on the ground:
2025 Corvettes – 1,516 Total
• Stingray – 164
• E-Ray – 419
• Z06 – 933
2026 Corvettes – 4,700 Total
• Stingray – 2,709
• E-Ray – 174
• Z06 – 1732
• ZR1 – 85
The Corvette Assembly Plant did close for the Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving break and reopened last Monday. As for a current count of 2026 Corvettes produced, we turned to Roger Kiel’s C8 Production Tracker on Facebook for these totals:
2026 Corvettes – 12,287 Produced through 12/3.
• Stingray – 7,505
• E-Ray – 557
• Z06 – 3,483
• ZR1 – 733
And finally, the Assembly Plant has scheduled two additional days of Plant Tours for December 8th and 9th. We just hit the Corvette Museum’s Plant Tour Page and it shows all tours are now sold out for 2025. Hopefully we’ll see more opportunities to get inside the plant next year once we get the reveal of the 2027 Grand Sport out of the way.
