[VIDEO] Cleetus McFarland Takes a Tour of the Assembly Plant and Then Picks Up his C8 ZR1

After sharing the video of Emelia Hartford taking delivery of her new ZR1, we have another Youtuber doing the same in Bowing Green. This video comes from YouTuber and Bald Eagle aficionado Cleetus McFarland and it’s got some really cool bonus material.

It’s a long video that clocks in at 38 minutes, but Cleetus put some timestamps into the description as there are three distinct parts to the video. First, Cleetus takes up on a tour of his Motion Raceworks facility in Dewitt, IA where they make and sell all kinds of automotive parts for performance vehicles.

But it’s parts two and three that we are really interested in. Part two features Cleetus taking a tour of the Corvette Assembly Plant which is pretty rare to get a video camera inside the facility. The tour is hosted by Plant Communications Manager Rachel Bagshaw who takes him around to various parts of the assembly process including the Performance Build Center where the engines are built, and we see a C8 chassis being “married” to the body, and then a visit to the paint shop where the body panels are being sprayed.

From there, Cleetus heads to the National Corvette Museum to take delivery of his Arctic White Corvette ZR1 Coupe. He did the Asymmetrical Interior featuring the Red and Black seats and of course the car has the Carbon Fiber Aero Package. He says the only real option he didn’t get are the visible carbon fiber wheels which he says would have delayed his car. He says they would have added $14K more to the cost of the car, so he was okay with that.

Once the R8C Delivery is complete, Cleetus heads over to the NCM Motorsports Park for some laps on the track with the Museum’s E-Ray.
