[VIDEO] Take a Hot Lap Around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the 2024 Corvette E-Ray Pace Car

Did you watch the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday? I feel like I watched it twice after sitting through the long rain delay while watching NBC as they ran last year’s race in its place, and then watching the full 2024 race which started later in the afternoon. After Josef Newgarden won the 2023 race with an awesome pass on the final lap, he returned for 2024 and did exactly the same thing to become the first back-to-back Indy 500 winner since Helio Castroneves achieved the feat for Team Penske in 2001-2002.

Despite the rain delay, it was totally worth it to see some great racing action AND the official Corvette E-Ray pace car, as well as last year’s 2023 Corvette Z06 pace car. As a bonus, Newgarden is or was a Corvette owner, taking delivery of an Arctic White 2020 Corvette Coupe. Watch this video to see him tour the Corvette Assembly Plant.

At some point in the lead up to Sunday’s race, Team Chevy offered up this post featuring a hot lap with the 2024 Corvette E-Ray Indy 500 Pace Car as it made its way from the pits to crossing the finish line.
