Corvette Racing at Fuji: Going Back-to-Back?

TF Sport Corvettes looking for another Fuji win, points for LMGT3 race

DETROIT (September 21, 2026) – TF Sport hopes to return to scoring points in the FIA World Endurance Championship as the team and its pair of Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs visit Fuji Speedway for Sunday’s Six Hours of Fuji.

The team and its Corvettes are looking to make it two in a row at Fuji Speedway and win their third LMGT3 race of the season. Solid results for the No. 33 and No. 34 Corvette GT3s will go a long way toward determining this year’s final championship standings.

With three races to go, things continue to look good for the No. 33 TF Sport Corvette of Nicky Catsburg, Jonny Edgar and Ben Keating. The No. 33 squad leads the Teams Championship by 22 points over its next closest competitor with 26 possible points available in each of the final three races.

Edgar leads the Drivers Championship and heads a 1-2-3 TF Sport Corvette order with Catsburg second and Keating third. The latter two teamed for a runner-up class finish in 2023, also in a Corvette, and Keating was a Fuji winner with TF Sport in 2022.

Next door in the No. 34 Racing Team Turkey by TF side of the garage, Charlie Eastwood will look to go back-to-back after winning last year’s LMGT3 race for TF Sport and Corvette. He and Salih Yoluc were GTE Am winners for the TF team in 2019, and they were second in 2018. The pairing and Peter Dempsey earned their first win of the season in July at Interlagos in Brazil.

The Six Hours of Fuji for the FIA World Endurance Championship is scheduled for 11 a.m. Japan Standard Time on Sunday / 10 p.m. ET on Saturday. Live streaming coverage of the race, qualifying and Hyperpole, plus timing and scoring is available through a subscription on FIA WEC Plus with additional live streaming on the HBO Max app in the U.S. Radio Le Mans also will provide live streaming audio coverage as well.

NICKY CATSBURG, NO. 33 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R:

“Fuji is good for racing. It’s a very mixed track. You have a couple of high-speed corners but the last sector is very slow. That one will be tough especially with the Hypercars. I don’t think they will be so much faster than us there. So it will be difficult in the sense of multi-class racing. Hopefully it will be a strong event. We should be better than at COTA because of losing quite a bit of success ballast. Let’s see. We need to make sure Jonny and the team win the championship so hopefully we are in a spot where we can score decent points for that.”

JONNY EDGAR, NO. 33 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R:

“I’m looking forward to being back at Fuji. It was a strong race for the team last year with the sister car winning, and Nicky and Ben have had success there in the past as well. I think it’s a track that suits the Corvette well. Hopefully we can have a clean race and score as many points for the championship as possible.”

CHARLIE EASTWOOD, NO. 34 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R:

“I really enjoy racing at Fuji. Having a level of success there doesn’t hurt! Obviously winning last year with TF was a big deal and a huge accomplishment for our side of the garage. We had been close for a couple of years to getting that first win for our car, my first in WEC with the Corvette… It was great to finally cross all that off. Generally I really like the track. It has a classic feel to it and a nice flow. The traffic definitely can get tricky with the Hypercars in the last part of the lap so hopefully everyone is respectful through there. We should be more competitive than we were at COTA so we are hoping for big things.”
