Our only question is, with a 1967 Sting Ray convertible with a 427 big-block and a 2015 Z06 coupe with a seven-speed manual both in his garage, how does the owner ever decide which one to drive!
That dilemma should soon be made easier for this long-time CorvetteBlogger reader, as his Z06 is currently up for sale on Bring a Trailer, where the high bid has already climbed to $50,000 with four days left in the auction. We wonder what will be taking its place once it’s gone.
The seller bought this Shark Gray Metallic beauty brand new from Lou Sobh’s Milton Chevrolet in Florida and soon brought it home to Georgia, where it’s remained for the past 19,000 miles.
The car is nicely equipped, with an MSRP of $92,245 that includes the top-of-the-line 3LZ Premium Equipment Group, carbon fiber dual roof package, carbon fiber interior package, and Z06 spectra gray painted machined groove aluminum wheels. By the way, the Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP tires have been replaced – the 285/30s up front in 2021 and the 335/25s out back in 2023.
Of course, the star of the car is really its supercharged 650-horsepower 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine (further boosted by the addition of an aFe Power air intake), enhanced further with a no-longer-available seven-speed manual transmission. Other mechanical highlights include Brembo brakes, Magnetic Ride Control, Performance Traction Management, and Active Handling System.
Tasteful exterior mods consist of an ACS Composite carbon-fiber chin spoiler, side skirts, and stage two rear winglets, as well as aftermarket tint on the rear and side windows and paint protection film on the front fascia. The factory bolts have also been adjusted to lower the car, and we love the new stance.
Inside, the car looks stock – and immaculate, including the gray leather heated and ventilated seats.
