Corvettes for Sale: Punch Your Ticket to the 800 HP Club with this Procharged C7.R Edition Corvette Z06

One of the most sought-after Seventh-Generation Corvettes is the C7.R Edition. Introduced for the second model year C7 Z06 production, the C7.R Edition celebrated the world’s greatest racing team with a limited run of fully loaded Z06s dressed to evoke their namesake competition, Corvette. They were available in coupe or convertible body styles with either eight-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions on board, while color choices were limited to the obvious Corvette Racing Yellow or a Rick Hendrick-pleasing Black. On top of the top-tier 3LZ equipment group and the highly-coveted Z07 performance package, all C7.Rs were set apart from “run-of-the-mill” 2016 Zs with their “Jake” hood decal and center caps, unique center stripe, yellow-rimmed black wheels, yellow brake calipers, yellow interior stitching, tell-tale door jams, and a center-stack plaque commemorating Corvette Racing’s eight class wins at Le Mans, and ten manufacturers titles – as of the cars’ on-sale date.

High overseas demand spurred the initial planned run of 500 units to an LT4 horsepower-equaling 650. In total, Chevrolet built 407 Yellow C7.R Edition Zs to go with 243 Black units. Coupes and Drop-Tops fell 570 to 80 in favor of the coupe, while the final breaking point favored the automatic gearbox with a spread of 427 to just 223 manuals.

Today’s example is number 145, and as a Yellow manual coupe, it combines two out of the three most popular C7.R “this or that” options for what is arguably the perfect specification. It’s covered 17,561 miles and is being offered for $89,900 by Denver’s aptly named Elevation Motors, but, as they say, wait… there’s more! Like a ’90s slugger, number 145 further distinguished itself by juicing. Pop the hood, and you won’t be met by the familiar five machined stripes of a traditional LT4 V8. Instead, your eyes will be treated to the color-matched (nice touch!) lid of a Procharger brand supercharger. We reached out to Elevation for dyno charts or power claims and will update if we hear back, but, per the source, a Procharger should yield 825 HP with no other mods. As our subject car also claims X pipe and a tune, we could be looking at even more than 175 horses over stock – this is A LOT of front-engine performance for significantly fewer dollars than the average new C8!

  1. Rather pay that much money for a non modified low mileage C7R. You have to wonder how much this car was abused.
