I pulled these production numbers earlier to discuss on the next News and Headlines edition of the CORVETTE TODAY Podcast and of course wanted to share the latest production updates here with our readers as well.
We are a little over one month into the 2024 Corvette model-year production and according to Roger Kiel’s production spreadsheet, we are at 3,994 Corvette Stingrays and 1,020 Corvette Z06s have been completed so far as of Thursday. That’s a combined 5,014 Corvettes completed for the new model year!
This comes as the supply chain continues to have issues, and GM even acknowledged that it was experiencing a temporary parts supply issue back in the middle of the month. However, except for October 18th where the production count dropped to 107, for the most part production of Stingray and Z06s continue to total between 170-190 per day.
The recent constraints report shows that carbon fiber aero is still not available for the Z06, and but we are also hearing “stupid stuff” like emblems and even quarter panels are lacking. This week we heard from an R8C Stingray customer who says his museum delivery was delayed by a day due to waiting for his new car to receive the standard Stingray wheels he ordered
One other point is that GM is still working through the backlog of 2023 Corvettes Z06 waiting parts and they appear to be making some progress on that front. A couple of the Z06 buyers that we highlighted in our articles who were a long time in getting their 2023 Z06s have finally received them.
As for the 2024 Corvette E-Ray production, we are still looking at an early December start. Chevy had originally told dealers that the E-Ray would start on October 23rd, but after the first order cycle for the car, the earliest TPW for E-Ray buyers we saw was December 4th. Shane from the NCM’s R8C Program told one buyer that the December date could be a placeholder and that there is potentially a chance that E-Rays could start earlier, but again it’s a wait-and-see issue.
That does it for this roundup of production news. You can see Roger Kiel’s latest production spreadsheet below.

My 70th Anniversary Z06 was produced on Sept 11. Still on hold! We are running out of daylight here in Illinois.
Does anyone have the FINAL corvette production numbers for 2023? I apologize if the numbers were posted, and I missed them. Thanks.
