Constraints Announced for Stingray, Z06 and E-Ray for November 2023 Orders

It’s Thursday and that means the GM order banks are opening up for dealers to match their just-received allocations to their customer’s orders. This order cycle features a Target Production Period of November 13-19th, but like anything, orders placed now could be built earlier or later than that date.

Previous order cycles were more specific to each model, with Stingrays being ordered one week and then the Z06 being ordered the next. In this order cycle however, some dealers received allocations for just one model while others got allocations and can place orders for all three models. With GM opening up the order banks, they sent dealers the latest constraints which we have for you below.

Remember that if your allocation was already pulled and your order has already been accepted, these constraints will not impact you. These are only for allocations just now being released to dealers with these cars planned to be built in November.

Also, the numbers you see following the option show the nationwide availability, which is different for dealers depending on their size. We have two sets of numbers to share, the top tier numbers and the bottom tier. We believe there is a middle tier but unfortunately we don’t have access to that report.

  1. What happens if the option packages I want are on “constraint”? FA5 being one. Does the car not get built until that becomes available or does the dealer loose the allocation (or give it to another customer) and I wait until they get another?

  2. You can decide whether you want to drop that option from your build and proceed with your order, or you can be skipped and hope that it comes back next month. The rule of thumb for many is can you replace the missing option via the aftermarket.

  3. What about FA6 – Level 2 Carbon Fiber Interior Package? Seems logical to assume that since FA5 is on constraint, that crosses over to FA6 since FA6 contains some of the same carbon fiber pieces as FA5. Seems logical but is not reflected in the constraints listed above.

  4. My dealership has only gotten 3 allocations for Z06 they’ve had my deposit since 03/2020 I’m in the first dozen but who the heck knows how long I’ll have to wait, then on top of that you can’t get the carbon you want c’mon they GM started pushing this car in ‘21 two years ago and they can’t get their suppliers in line that’s just poor planning.

  5. Seems to me there is just too much aggravating bullshit to deal with in trying to order a C8. I’ll be more than happy to just keep my C7 and C4 forever.

  6. Doesn’t it seem strange that the aftermarket guys got the carbon fiber parts available, but the mighty GM can’t deliver. Surely they have produced aero packages in the past, probably millions over the years. Do you think they might be trying to keep the Z07 option extremely limited ? Just Say’in

  7. 2 dealerships in my town keep sending me emails and letters about their in stock new models. Both also have quite a few used C8s sitting around. If I was in the market for a C8 and I am not, I would grab one these at MSRP or less.

  8. My god why can’t GM get their act together?? Pretty embarrassing Chevrolet. Is this why Ford has someone else build their super-cars???

  9. Thank you Keith! My order not only has FA6 but it also has the ZZ3 option which seems to be a problem since it’s been on constraint every month since I placed my order. Thankfully I finally went to 3300 status last Friday so I’m starting to see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.
