With all the doom and gloom talk about the United Autoworkers strike against the Big three automakers, one ray of good news for Corvette enthusiasts is that the 2024 Corvette model year starts today! We got that welcomed news on Friday and today it was further confirmed by our friends at the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com.

Yes, the UAW strike could shut down the parts supply for America’s Favorite Sports Car. But so far it hasn’t.

Yes, workers might be called to leave their jobs in support of the UAW Strike. But so far they haven’t.

Instead, the Corvette Assembly Plant is open for business this Monday, and workers are busy assembling the first builds of Corvette’s 71st model year.

The 2024 Corvette model will be the best yet, with three specific Corvette models now offered, plus a ton of new exterior, interior, and safety options that continue to make this C8 Corvette the sports car to own.

Currently it’s the 2024 Stingray and Z06 models that are on the assembly line, with the all-new E-Ray expected to start in another month of so. In the meantime, we are waiting to hear about E-Ray allocations which we believe should come shortly.

We are also excited to find out exactly where the 2023 model year ended up with its record final production numbers, so stay tuned for all that and more!
