At the very end of 2025, Chevrolet announced a new limited edition package for 2026 Corvettes and select truck models called the Stars & Steel Collection. Just 250 examples of the package were created for Corvettes and now all the cars have been built and are being delivered to dealerships.

This week on the Corvette Today Podcast, you hear from the two Chevrolet designers who came up with the Stars & Steel package for the Corvettes and trucks, and they even talk about some of the variants like the one used on the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car.

It’s the most boring, humdrum livery outside of perhaps the chicanery that passes for the 2025/2026 Indy Pace Cars.

When your racing teams are doing a better job representing patriotism–you’re off the mark. Sadly, the understatedness was probably 100% intentional, as most of the C8 cosmetic design/aesthetic choices are based around catering to banal and tepid tastes. And then GM wonders why their market demographic is septuagenarians.
