Corvettes for Sale: 13K-Mile 1975 Corvette Convertible with Hardtop

Back in the mid ’70s, many enthusiasts believed the 1975 Corvette would mark the end of the convertible era. Chevy had hinted that tightening federal regulations might kill the droptop for good, and for a while, it looked like the ’75 model would be the last of its kind.

That’s why this Bright Green 1975 Corvette convertible, now listed on Craigslist out of southeast Florida (with no price included), immediately grabs attention. You can almost imagine the original buyer snapping it up under the belief it might become a future collectible — and in many ways, they weren’t wrong.

Chevy eventually revived the convertible in 1986 (with the lone exception of the 1997 C5 debut year), but the ’75 models still hold a special place among collectors, especially when they surface in rare colors, low mileage, and unmodified condition.

This example checks all three boxes.

Finished in Code 42 Bright Green, this Corvette is one of just 1,664 cars painted the color in 1975 — only 4.3% of total production. The seller goes further, estimating that fewer than 105 cars left the factory with the Bright Green / Black Leather / Hardtop combination.

Bright Green was offered for one year only, making it one of the most instantly recognizable hues of the 1970s — the kind of color that stops Corvette fans in their tracks.

Even better, this car is a one owner California survivor showing just 13,000 original miles. Under the hood sits the numbers matching L48 350 V8, paired with its original Turbo Hydramatic automatic transmission. The car also includes both the factory removable hardtop and the soft top.

The lone blemish on the car’s résumé is a rebuilt title, the result of light damage to the right front headlight area. According to the seller, the repair was strictly cosmetic, performed professionally using OEM Corvette parts, with no structural impact.

For serious buyers, the seller offers before repair photos to verify the minor nature of the incident — a reassuring move for anyone considering a low mileage survivor.

With its one year only paint, one owner history, factory hardtop, numbers matching drivetrain, and 13k miles, this ’75 convertible lands squarely in unicorn territory. Add in the historical significance — the final Corvette convertible until 1986 — and it’s easy to see why collectors chase these cars.

In a sea of Classic White and Silver C3s, this Bright Green beauty stands out as a vivid reminder of the era.

Editor’s Note:
I didn’t realize until after getting the article back from Mitch that there was no price advertised on the Craigslist ad. I hate when classifieds come with no price, so my apologies for sharing this one. In my defense, I was blinded by the Bright Green exterior and low miles.
