Ever since I first learned of these aero extensions for the standard spoiler on the 2023 Corvette Z06 at the October 2021 Peterson reveal, I’ve been waiting to see a Z06 equipped with them in person. This week at the National Corvette Museum’s 28th Anniversary Celebration, we were able to capture it on an Accelerate Yellow Z06 Coupe.

Perhaps now is a good time to show these off, considering just how constrained the Z07 aero package will be. The standard spoiler on the Z06 is RPO TOE and it comes with a carbon flash trim plate mounted with T15 TORX screws. Just unscrew those, put on the level 2 extensions, and then re-tighten. You can actually adjust the level 2 extensions up or down, with these pics appearing to show it in the maximum downforce position.

During my conversation last week at Carlisle with Corvette Chief Engineer Josh Holder, I had called the base Z06 spoiler the “Level 1” version, and Josh corrected me, saying the team refers to the base spoiler as the level 3, with level 1 being the Z07 aero kit.

I do really like the streamlined look of the base Z06 spoiler, and the fact that you can add more downforce with these extensions gives you two spoiler looks in one. For you E-Ray fans, we also saw these extensions deployed on the recent Nurburgring test car, so there must be some decent downforce generated from them.

The level 2 extensions are included with the base spoiler at no additional charge.

  1. The yellow paint looks different in those pictures. More like the old Velocity Yellow. Not a fan of the C8 Accelerate Yellow.

  2. Can you get the ZO6 with no spoiler at all like the base stingray used to do? I like the clean lines without it!

  3. Is the Level 2 wickers an option code or are they part of the CFZ package?
When I talked with Josh he said that the front Brake Cooling Duct and Lower Control Arm Defector, the Rear Knuckle Mounted Cooling Duct, Rear Lower Control Arm Cooling Duct and the Underwing Stall Gurney Flaps (mounted under the car just before the front wheels – not to be confused with the underbody strakes) came packaged in the trunk of the standard Z06. Note the rear cooling ducts are not for street use and the Gurney Flaps are not to be installed with the high wing.

Really like these additional wickers on the standard Z06. I need them!

  4. How does one get the level 2 extensions? I haven’t seen an option for them on the order guide?

  5. That level 2 spoiler looks a lot better than any of the C8 spoilers. It looks more a part of the C8 whereas the other spoilers always looked tacked on.

  6. As much as I like this spoiler, and feel it is the best C8 spoiler to date, I’m not a fan of the screws. Saw it at Carlisle, and would prefer no screws, but understand now their necessity. Would like to see a screwless, wickerless option.

  7. I like the way it fits the trunk lines compared to the high wing spoiler,if it could be substituted in the z07 package that would be great.

  8. Clark Beal, that is accelerate yellow and yes I do not like it either. I just confirmed my dislike for the yellow at Corvettes at Carlisle last week. That color like most colors one needs to study and look at from all different angles and distances to determine yes or no. Its a shame because I always liked velocity yellow and seriously wanted to get a yellow C8 but settled for Artic white.
