[VIDEO] C8 Z06 Indy 500 Pace Car Start Up and Stingray Z51 Hot Lap at the Monticello Motor Club

It’s great to see the Z06 once again in its Indy 500 pace car livery as it was captured at a recent Chevy event at Monticello Motor Club in New York. Thanks to Dave B sells Chevy for sharing this experience!

Unfortunately, the Z06 is just a display and doesn’t see any track action, but with its appearance comes the mandatory start-up and idle of the 670-hp LT6 engine. Stay tuned as David also takes a hot lap in the Z51 Stingray Coupe around the Monticello road course.

That Z06 though! The rear hatch is opened up and we see the LT6 Twins are wearing the Edge Red manifolds which we are hoping and praying becomes an option. In our poll back in May, a whopping 80% agreed with us on the Edge Red while another 11% wanted the silver option.

The hot lap looks like great fun as well around the 4.1-mile private track. I don’t think the full track configuration was in place for this hot lap, but there were still plenty of opportunities for the pro driver to make that Z51 Coupe stretch its legs via the 495-hp LT2 engine. Any day at the track is better than a day in the office!

Today I got a see the 2023 Corvette C8 Z06 and the C8 Corvette Z06 Indy Pace Car!! They looked and sounded GREAT! Then we had the chance to drive some Z51 C8 Corvettes on the track at Monticello Motor Club as well as ride with a pro driver for a hot lap around the track. Such a great experience!
