Celebrate Corvettes at Carlisle’s 40th Anniversary Show on August 25-27

It’s getting close to that time again when all roads lead us to the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds for what will be the 40th anniversary offering of Corvettes at Carlisle, the world’s largest Corvette show! The 2022 show is presented by eBay Motors and it’s going to be one of the most memorable yet. Come out and celebrate Corvettes at Carlisle’s 40th anniversary and join thousands of Corvette enthusiasts and all generations of Corvettes this August 25-27.

Before we get to the event preview, I heard that the Ford Nationals show held at Carlisle in June set the record for show car attendance of any show held at the fairgrounds. Call up all your Corvette friends and let’s have a great turnout so we can bring that record back to Corvettes at Carlisle and the show that started it all.

If a trip to Carlisle has been on your bucket list, this is the year to attend. Team Chevrolet will be available to answer your questions and this year they will have two displays including one specifically focused on the 2023 Corvette Z06. You can watch the GM presentation from the Grand Stands as well as visit the engineering tent for various engineering talks and to see the 2023 Corvette displays featuring the Z06, Stingray, and the 70th Anniversary Editions.

Corvettes at Carlisle is known for having great Corvette displays and 2022 brings several anniversary celebrations. As this is the 40th Anniversary of Corvettes at Carlisle, one of the remembrances back to that inaugural show in 1982 will be the first Corvette that was showcased by Chip Miller. It’s a Monza Red 1969 Stingray named George that was originally purchased new by Chip, and it’s got a fun backstory to go along with the name.


This year’s 50th Anniversary display puts the spotlight on the 1972 Corvettes with plenty of examples to check out. Callaway Cars is celebrating its 35 anniversary with a hand-selected collection to be shown. For you Corvette Racing Fans, the Chip’s Choice display will be showing a collection of Pratt & Miller/Factory Corvette Race cars. Imagine hearing all these Corvette racers starting their engines (and offering some revs) all at once! This is going to be an amazing reunion. Retired Corvette Racing Crew Chief Dan Binks will be there with the race cars and any seminar he puts on is one you simply can’t miss.


Crowd-favorite Paul Koerner and The Corvette Mechanic Team will be offering their expertise on the care and maintenance of our Corvettes, and they will also be helping owners troubleshoot issues with their cars. Paul will also be leading a new “How to Buy Your First Car” seminar that’s aimed at younger enthusiasts wanting to buy their first Corvette.


We’ve really just scratched the surface with everything you can do at Corvettes at Carlisle. But wait, here are even more things to do when you’re at the show!

The Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation will be raising funds with the giveaway of a Red Mist 2023 Corvette Z06. That sweepstakes ends on October 1st but another 2022 Corvette Coupe will be raffled on Saturday night August 27th with tickets limited to just 1,000. On Friday evening, the annual CMAF Dinner will be held at the Carlisle Expo Center with Corvette guests, raffles, and a live auction.


One of our favorite events at Carlisle is the Saturday evening parade as Corvettes go three-wide down Main Street USA in the annual Downtown Carlisle Corvette Parade and Street Party. The party kicks off at 7pm on August 27th and offers an opportunity to show off your Corvette and mix and mingle with the local community afterward. It’s also a chance for Corvette enthusiasts to take advantage of sampling the many fine restaurants and shops in the downtown area as well.

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is presenting the “King of the X” competition on the autocross track and drivers will have the opportunity to win some CASH to go along with the bragging rights. There is also the annual Exhaust Competition that will judge the best overall sound.


The Corvettes at Carlisle swap meet offers the opportunity to find just the parts you need, plus there is a large assortment of vendors selling everything from garage supplies to yard art. If you’re in the buying or selling mood, the Corvette car corral features Corvettes for sale, and there is also an install alley for aftermarket parts installations.
