Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.
Welcome to a special 5,000th edition of Mike Furman’s Sunday Deliveries. On Saturday, the Chevy sales rep delivered his 5,000th Corvette while a group of friends and supporters were there to cheer on all those involved. Make sure you check out the video tributes that continue to roll in. While number 5,000 is a huge milestone, Mike tells us it was never the goal and after sending off that lucky customer, Mike went to work in getting numbers 5001 and 5002 out the door as well. ~Never a goal, but a milestone. Yesterday I delivered my 5,000th Corvette and what meant the most to me were the folks that came to be there for the experience and the surprise on Bob’s face when he turned over the postcard depicting my handwritten #5,000. Bob was shaking in excitement and the many gifts awaited him along with his brand new C8. The two gentlemen that purchased milestone Corvettes #3,000 and 4,000 were on hand in their respective Corvettes as well. One of my customers pointed out that the last three milestone deliveries, 3,000,4,000 and 5,000 are all Convertibles. I hadn’t noticed until he made that remark. Six of my past customers and friends enjoyed dinner and conversation the night before at the local Firebirds.
**Big shoutout to the Malcolm Konner Auto family, it all started with the Konner family hiring me and the rest is history.
My Corvette friends Bob and Joan from Buffalo, NY stopped by to visit on their way to their son’s home in VA.
My Corvette friend Scott. O. stopped by with his stunning C8 and had some gifts for me.
John B. has gifted me some specially made chairs in the past and he just sent me this U of Maryland Wrestling chair.

~C8 deliveries this week, of course starting out with #5,000.
~Bob and Brenda M. of Herndon, Virginia waited 17 months to take delivery of their new C8 Corvette and it was so well worth it. I had 14 deliveries yesterday and All had my postcard on the dash but only 1 had “5,000” written on the back. The anxious crowd waited patiently as Bob revealed his postcard and flipped it over with lucky #5,000! The other milestone owners and their respective cars, #3,000 and #4,000 were on hand for the picture opportunities. Bob received approx $5,000 in prizes from various vendors across the country. Club Glove sent an incredible luggage set with custom embroidery, I bought a Corvette special Editions book from Keith Cornett -and Keith signed it, Adam’s Polishes sent a wonderful array of items, Lance Miller sent free entry on the Fun Field for the Corvette event in August, Ron Fellows waived their fee and added an extra night stay for the Corvette Owners School, Novi Stretch supplied Front bumper mask, mirror cover kit and detailing kit, Michelin supplied a goodie bag, Mobil 1 sent jackets, hats and shirts, AWE supplied a gift card and Swag bag, Zipity Jeff Duda brought a Red Mist Corvette model and the Corvette Museum sent two free Museum passes and Criswell Chevrolet threw in some Corvette hats and shirts. Thank you to all the vendors for making this special day just a one of a kind experience for Bob and Brenda. The new 2021 Corvette Convt is Red Mist with two tone Natural interior and is sharp from every angle. Thank you To everyone that made the trip to Criswell for today’s milestone delivery. Big props to Jeff Duda for gifting me his time, energy, friendship and special trophy he awarded me for this milestone, #5,000 in the books…actually I ended the day at 5,014! Thank you Ron, Al, Andrea, Chris and Jeff for Friday nights dinner conversation and of course Jeff Carter who couldn’t make the dinner but called in and picked up the bill. Friends together one and all, doesn’t get much better! Big thanks to Bill H. and his brother at Club Glove, no finer products in the country!
~Chet P. of Frederick, Maryland factory ordered his new Ceramic Matrix Gray 2021 Corvette Z51 Convertible and it’s his very first Corvette. Delivery #5001 is equipped with 2LT pkg, CF painted Nacelles/roof, front lift, magnetic ride, bright red calipers, Sky cool gray interior, CF painted wheels, Z51 pkg and red seat belts. Chet was excited to get on the road, even in bad weather.
~Chris O. of Westlake Village, California is a car collector that hangs with other big car collectors in the Los Angeles area. So 19 months ago when he asked his friend, a fellow car guy as to where to get a new Corvette? Jay Leno shot back right away with implicit instructions to call me even though I’m 3,000 miles away. I don’t take referrals from Jay Leno lightly as I have the upmost respect for Jay’s car knowledge. Chris ordered a 2021 Sebring Orange Z51 coupe to join some of his other exotic toys in his garage.(see pics) equipment list: 3LT pkg, front lift, magnetic ride, orange seat belts, Black trident wheels and much more. I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery at his local Chevrolet dealer in Santa Paula, California.
~James M. of Scottsdale, Arizona ordered his new Red Mist 2021 Corvette coupe to come to Criswell to be prepped and set up and this Monday it ships enclosed trailer via Plycon Trucking. The paperwork/payment has been completed through Fed Ex and James awaits his world class sports car. Equipment list: 2LT pkg, GT 2 bucket seats, two tone Red/black interior, edge red calipers, performance exhaust, cf painted wheels, and edge red engine cover.
~Carlos and Tammy M. of Duncan, Oklahoma factory ordered their new Shadow Gray 2021 Corvette Convertible from me with the intent of taking delivery at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY which occurred this week…unbeknownst to them, 19 of their fellow Corvette club members drove the 820 miles from Oklahoma to Bowling Green, KY to join in for the red carpet being rolled out on behalf of the Mahoney’s! Jeremy Welborn sent me these pictures of their new Corvette. Cooler than the other side of the pillow! Equipment list: 3LT pkg, Adrenaline Red interior, Red full length racing stripes, CF painted Nacelles and body color roof, chrome badges, front lift, magnetic select ride, bright red calipers, performance exhaust and carbon flash painted mirrors. SWOCC is one heckuva Corvette club and it’s members are pretty darn special to attend this Museum delivery for the Mahoney’s!
~Chris and Judi C. of Helotes, Texas factory ordered their new Corvette to be drop shipped for courtesy delivery at their local Chevrolet dealer in Katy, TX. They are thrilled with their new Corvette and you can tell by the perma grins in the photo they sent me. Accelerate Yellow metallic with Adrenaline Red two tone interior was picked for their 2021 Corvette 2LT coupe. Other equipment: battery protection pkg, front lift, magnetic select ride, performance exhaust and much more. In Chris’s own words…”Judi & me with our new ride. Driving my ‘Vette made me happier than any Christmas ever. The car is a dream to drive. Day one saw 348 miles. Thanks for getting us into our dream car. We’ll see you along the road.”

~ Matt B. of Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania (just North of Pittsburgh) and I met at the Corvettes of Carlisle event a couple years back. This week Matt took delivery of his very first new car and 2nd Corvette(C5). His Father has had a few Corvettes so Matt was the cool kid driving a Corvette to high school! I couldn’t be happier for Matt and his new Torch Red 2021 Corvette coupe. Matt chose Adrenaline Red seats, 1LT pkg, Magnetic selective ride, battery maintainer and bright red calipers. Now for the quick 225 mile ride home!!
~Tom P. of Ellicott City, Maryland has bought 13 Corvettes from me over the 12 years and his family has been buying Corvettes from me dating back to the late 80’s! Tom ordered a Torch Red 2021 Corvette Z51 coupe with red seats,bright red calipers, and red engine cover.
~Tom and Linda A. Of Bellevue, Ohio drove away this week in their 5th Corvette that they have owned. The 1963 brought the kids home from the hospital but soon had to depart for a family reasons. I helped Tom with their very rare(and keeping) 2019 ZR1 Long Beach Red Convt, only 28 produced! They placed their factory order for an Elkhart Lake Blue with Sky cool gray interior for the new 2021 Corvette Z51 convertible. Equipment list: 3LT pkg, CF painted Nacelles, chrome badges, front lift, CF instrument trim, edge red calipers, Blue Corvette script and more. Our Service department added the ground effects pkg. Next week is some Tail of the Dragon driving with another Ohio couple and their Corvette. But first they have a 400 mile drive to their Ohio home after flying in and staying overnight. I had them in and out in 45 minutes.
~ Steven A. of Edmonds, Washington didn’t let the 2,800 miles in between us get in the way for him to order a new Corvette. I had a courtesy delivery arranged at his local Chevrolet dealer in Seattle,WA. We completed the paperwork process via Fed Ex and last week he took delivery of his new Torch Red 2021 Corvette Z51 Convt. Stunning for sure with the Carbon Flash dual racing stripes!
