By all accounts, Chevrolet has a hit on its hands with the new C7 Corvette Stingray Coupe but already the automotive journos are looking to the future as they ask what’s next for GM’s halo car.
Earlier this week was the report from Motor Trend that the C7 Corvette ZR1 could be packing 700 horsepower.
Now from Road & Track, we get the opportunity to see just what a C7 Corvette ZR1 might look like via this rendering from the talented Theo Chin/Chris Doane Automotive.
While we sit back and wonder what the new C7.R race car from Corvette Racing and Pratt & Miller will look like, a talented graphic artist has already unveiled his vision of the car that will be based on the recently unveiled 2014 Corvette Stingray.

Assuming that only one C7 Corvette will be on the stage when the curtain is lifted, what do you think the color will be? If Santa left you wanting more this holiday season, here’s a little something from our friends at TopSpeed.com – a rendering of the 2014 C7 Corvette in Black. This render is based on the latest leaked images of the C7 Corvette so it’s fairly up-to-date with the rumor-mill.
We’ve seen a ton of examples of the 2014 C7 Corvette in coupe form, most recently from Car and Driver. But what about the convertible model that is rumored to be available a few months after the coupe begins production? Inside Line must have heard our pleas because they just put up this rendered C7 Corvette convertible in yellow with black wheels and a black top.
Car and Driver Magazine must know that Corvette owners are really pumped for the unveiling of the new C7 Corvette as they keep rolling out new digital renderings of America’s next great sports car. Here are three new 2014 C7 Corvette illustrations from C&D plus we got a cool quote from GM’s Mark Reuss who says you can tell which engineers are testing the new Corvette – they are the ones with the big smiles.

As we get closer to #one13thirteen and the unveiling of the all-new Corvette, we are getting reports from readers who are saying they have seen the camouflaged C7 Corvette show up in the most unlikely of places – on Sony PlayStation’s Gran Turismo 5. Could this mean that players of the Sony franchise game will soon be driving the 2014 Corvette?
Our friends at Jalopnik have really proved themselves to be the go-to website when it comes to breaking news on the next generation 2014 C7 Corvette. They created the first renders of the C7 last November and since then, all the spy photos and leaked supplier videos have pretty much confirmed that the new Corvette will look like Jalopnik said it would.
Last month, Trinity Animation used the Jalopnik renderings as well as other corroborating evidence to create an animated video of the C7 Corvette and now Jalopnik is sharing Trinity’s latest rendering of the C7 Corvette in stunning black. As the headline suggest, yes, this photo will make you fall in love with the 2014 Chevy Corvette.
This new Corvette C7 rendering has been out for a while as we’ve spotted it on several threads on various forums. What this is is a revision of the “Rump Roast” Corvette C7 photo which appeared in Car and Driver’s April 2012 issue. This image is now part of Car and Driver’s C7 photo gallery.
In Automobile Magazine’s June 2012 issue, the editors break down a list of cars getting updates over the next two years and the C7 Corvette was one of the featured American cars in their sneak preview. Accompanying the article (and helping to sell magazines) is this rendered illustration of what Automobile Magazine thinks the front of the 2014 C7 Corvette will look like.
