[VIDEO] Watch the C8 Corvette Z06 Become the Batmobile in this New Render

The original on-screen Batmobile was a 1955 Lincoln concept car under all of the bat decor, and recent renditions of Hollywood’s favorite four-wheeled co-star have been everything from tanks to armored muscle cars, but there’s no real-world vehicle that earns Dark Knight associations more often than America’s Sports Car!

From the angular beauty and swooping fenders of the Midyear and C3 Corvette, to the wedges and angles of modern Corvettes, GM’s halo car has always been a coat of black paint away from giving its owners a slice of their Bruce Wayne fantasies.

Well, the rendering experts over at Hot Cars have taken the idea of a Bat-Ray a bit further than just spec’ing the darkest available exterior hue! With a C8 Z06 as a foundation and a host of computer imaging skills at their disposal, they’ve mocked up a full video of an unusually well-lit Batcave and a hybrid (LT6+Jet Engine) crimefighting machine.

Along with the extra propulsion and expected wings, they’ve also included an even wider-than-stock body kit that hides the render’s greatest (factory front-lift inspired?) trick: an off-road mode that lifts the entire suspension about a foot, and, with the support of Lucious Fox’s skunkworks team, features tires that can transform from track-ready summer rubber to knobby off-road gatorbacks with the push of a button! This is comic-book worthy stuff and we always love when our favorite car sparks someone’s imagination, especially outside of traditional “car guy” circles. It really speaks to the enduring appeal and versatility of the Chevrolet Corvette!
