2020 Corvette Convertibles to Start Production the Week of August 3rd


If all goes well in the next few weeks, we should see the first customer-ordered 2020 Corvette Convertibles starting down the production line at the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green.

This week we have heard from more than a couple of Hard Top Convertible (HTC) customers who told us they have received their Target Production Week (TPW) notifications. So far, we have heard of customer TPWs for Convertibles for the weeks of August 3rd and August 10th.

1969 Corvette For Sale Spent Entire Life with GM Employee Who Designed the C3 Door Handles


The fellow who’s credited with the innovative design of the 1969 Corvette exterior door handle certainly put his creation to good personal use over the past half-century.

The designer, who worked nearly 40 years at General Motors, retired as head of design staff at the GM Tech Center in 1983, but not before he had bought a 1969 Corvette brand new on Oct. 15, 1969. He’s owned it ever since.

We learned today that Corvette Assembly Plant workers are transitioning to a 10-hour shift this week instead of the regular 8-hour shift as the plant continues to produce more and more 2020 Corvettes ahead of next week’s July 4th break.
